I am from the North. RRR was a cinematically brilliant film. The introduction scene of Ram Charan was the best shot action sequence that I have ever seen in Indian cinema! I am generally more of a fan of Malayalam films than Telugu films, but RRR was exceptional. I'd rate it over Baahubali. The screenplay was detailed, even the colour choices were perfect. 'Nattu' was wonderfully choreographed and rendered. I was always a fan of Mani Ratnam but Rajamouli has also impressed a lot with this film. I can't even understand why someone would not like this movie! It's absurd!

That's the plus and minus of them, they are too grounded and comfortable in their own place until few directors made big movies, SSR Bahubali and RRR are just the latest, Bollywood was remaking and cashing out on films like Ready, Wanted/Pokiri, Kick etc. They're insecure because they cannot cast their own 'our heroes' over there, thanks to the Pan India releases! Singham and Drishyam, Chandramukhi... Bollywood has this tested success in remakes, so their issue is clear and visible!

I hope you understand what im trying to tell. and im not criticizing the movie in any way, it will always be one of the greatest movie that TFI has ever produced. Apart from the commercial elements it also used stop motion technology for the vivahabojan song which was too risky and difficult to do at that time and that ultimately became the talk of the town.

My dad , hardcode north Indians, we are living in maharashtra since 3 generations almost. In the last 4 years ive never seen my dad watching bollywood movie , apart from the old ones with Bacchan and Rajesh Khanna in it, he only watches south movies , and he laughs all day to me ... that is a real entertainment and it is keeping him happy. As a South Indian, the only thing i can agree on what she said is that... There is less of a nuance or logic in people acting like they are super heroes in RRR... But given that it's fictional, that could be ignored if you are really immersed in the story line.. It could also be counted as creative liberty.... I guess for her to be expecting naturality and reality in movies doesn't help when watching action movies or larger than life movies like avatar, rrr, MI... Etc...The point is you can't find logic in everything...
Ms. Ratna pathak should know there is a difference between patriotism and jingoism. RRR deals very subtly with the former with friendship being highlighted. Rather than movies these comments are regressive. Such a pity!
Look at the way British was portrayed in the film, they could have made them complex characters, like the one in Sardar Udham. Instead they are portrayed as some sort of Disney villian. So, Ratna Pathak's statement makes sense in a lot of ways, it's a genuine complaint

I am from delhi and I have never watched any Bollywood movie the way i have watched and loved RRR, Kantara etc. After 2019 or so, I have understood the difference between a Bollywood movie and an Indian movie. I can recognize the actors of the movie shown in the ads, , smell their hate towards hindus and indians and stop thinking about that movie altogether. On the other hand, me and my wife have watched Kantara and RRR nearly 10 times, watched Kashmir Files 5 times in theater and We watch others movies in theaters but not bollywood movie... like I said, there is a clear difference between a bollywood movie and a movie and we've started to recognize it.

SS rajamouli is a one of a kind director. He is the king of fight/war/action sequences and knows how to evoke emotions and get the audience invested in the characters. Intro scene of ram characters was Terrific especially the scene where gets mobbed by the crowd watching that I felt suffocated

I am from the North. RRR was a cinematically brilliant film. The introduction scene of Ram Charan was the best shot action sequence that I have ever seen in Indian cinema!
I am generally more of a fan of Malayalam films than Telugu films, but RRR was exceptional. I'd rate it over Baahubali.
The screenplay was detailed, even the colour choices were perfect. 'Nattu' was wonderfully choreographed and rendered. I was always a fan of Mani Ratnam but Rajamouli has also impressed a lot with this film.

I am from South India and a ton of my North Indian friends from my college had a blast watching RRR. In fact some of my South Indian friends mentioned that Bahubali is still their personal favourite. So, i wouldn't say "North Indians" hate RRR. It's just some people from Bollywood with an elitist mindset.

As a South Indian, the only thing i can agree on what she said is that... There is less of a nuance or logic in people acting like they are super heroes in RRR... But given that it's fictional, that could be ignored if you are really immersed in the story line.. It could also be counted as creative liberty.... I guess for her to be expecting naturality and reality in movies doesn't help when watching action movies or larger than life movies like avatar, rrr, MI... I am from delhi and I have never watched any Bollywood movie the way i have watched and loved RRR, Kantara etc.
After 2019 or so, I have understood the difference between a Bollywood movie and an Indian movie. I can recognize the actors of the movie shown in the ads, , smell their hate towards hindus and indians and stop thinking about that movie altogether. On the other hand, me and my wife have watched Kantara and RRR nearly 10 times, watched Kashmir Files 5 times in theater and We watch others movies in theaters but not bollywood movie... like I said, there is a clear difference between a bollywood movie and a movie and we've started to recognize it.

Don't take Bullywood seriously. I'm from Uttarakhand. My brother, I, and our friends, and our cousins LOVED RRR. We became fans of the actors and Rajamouli sir. I follow all their interviews and am looking forward to their new films (RC15, NTR30, and SSMB29). Don't let Bullywood divide us. RRR has done a great job at removing the lines politicians created. Let Bollywood not take advantage of it. The best they can make is a cheap copy of RRR with Urdu words.
SS rajamouli is a one of a kind director. He is the king of fight/war/action sequences and knows how to evoke emotions and get the audience invested in the characters.
Intro scene of ram characters was Terrific especially the scene where gets mobbed by the crowd watching that I felt suffocated
This is an interesting video. A lot of people across India have loved the movie. At the same time a lot of North Indians and Tamilians have spewed hatred on RRR because of their bias and regionalism. It's very funny to see all these haters cry in the comment sections of social media. How petty we humans are

I have seen comments and videos mocking the movie. That doesn't mean all North Indians and Tamilians mocked it. RRR can't collect 1000 crores without support across India from majority of Indians
