Jack, I bought the same bike new 2023. I put a Coffman's exhaust slip on muffler. It comes with a DB killer which I left in. It sounds really good and the bike liked the change.
Great video . I live in Connecticut and been looking for a while for a rebel 500 SE. I finally found a dealer at the end of the state that had 2 on order , one being sold so like you said I jumped at the opportunity to put a deposit on the other one. Hopefully it will be here in the next week or so. I’m a beginner and like you was looking for a cruiser and this was totally the best option. I’m 5’5” and this will be perfect for me. So excited I finally found one. Would love to see more videos from you on your riding experiences in the city. Thanks for sharing 👍
Hey brother, I hope all is good. Very happy to hear that you are fond of the Rebel as well. It will be absolutely worth it and I hope that you get it soon. Ride safe!
I'm also 5'5".experience I'm also interested in knowing the "out of the door" price. $6,750 is the MRSP, and I took $10K thinking I'd be riding out on one w/ some mods.. but no. $10K only covers the bike (which I'd have to wait months for it), fees and fees and more fees (taxes or whatever), and.. an ugly-looking helmet. I asked for a detailed list printed out, but I was laughed out of that dealership. I'll never come back, but.. I don't know if that'd be normal.
I want one of these so bad. Great video, I think videos of you riding through the city would be cool & you should also make follow up videos about your experience riding in an urban environment like that bc mostly everyone else with a rebel is in places with open roads
I def will make a video in Manhattan. Its beauty can be seen really in both day and night time and I plan on doing both. I most def will be making follow up videos as well. I have to go kinda upstate or out of state to understand better how open road feels so I can compare. I greatly appreciate you feedback kind sir. Thank you.
You can put a front sprocket with one more tooth on the front that will made it much better on the hiway. I did this on my CB500f and it makes a very nice difference 😁
Best way to clean and lube your chain IMHO is to clean the chain with Kerosene (works crazy good and does NOT damage the O-rlngs.) To lube the chain I use a very small paint brush(about 1/2 inch width) and I paint on Maxima 80-90 wt gear oil. Very easy and effective chain maintenance~! I get the same kind of mileage that you do ..... I don't believe it when people say they get 60 miles per gallon ... maybe if they go 35 miles per hour down hill LOL. Kit
I very much appreciate the advice Kit on cleaning the chain, most def will be following it. Yea the mpg was a surprise for me but I think I have gotten used to it. Thank you for your time.
Let’s go congrats on the beautiful bike.
Thank you sir. I hear you also recently bought your first bike as well. Congrats to you as well. Have fun and ride safe!

@@HondaRebelNYC look forward to it, have fun!
I get about the same amount of mpg as you do. 50 to 55 mpg is what I normally get at a steady 75 mph.
Yea, was kinda sad about it at the start but I got over it. I love the bike! Thank you for sharing.
Great video mate! Does it have quickshifter?
The miles you hear are for the rebel 300 & driving habits is big thing in mpg
Thank you for clearing it up!

Will def be looking into getting this on my motorcycle as well. Thank you for sharing the advice.
