The World's First Commercial Flying Car

- The early 20th century was a time of real experiment, with designers racing to make their next dream a reality. Various flying car prototypes have emerged over the past century, including Stefan Klein’s previous concepts, but nothing comes quite as close to KleinVision’s latest proposition. While the first flying car patent was filed at the end of ww, it’s taken a whole century to contend with the various regulatory setbacks as well as to perfect the design.
Footage of Slovakian company KleinVision’s AirCar has emerged recently showing the flying car make a successful voyage into the 3-dimensional air space. The video shows the car transforming into a plane, which we’re told is done by the touch of a button inside the cockpit. Onboard computers control the transformation automatically, fixing the flying appendages into place ready for flight. The whole process takes less than 3 minutes.

This is taking the saying "Don't drink and drive, smoke and fly." to a whole nother level.
😂
"We will have flying cars in 2020"
2020: we do have flying cars
Even planes were not flying....aeromobile (this car) was introduced to be launched somewhere in 2017 or before....this is 2021 now, 2020s over
@Mist no he is a time traveller

@@MADVLOGZZ Your comment doesn't make any sense.
It ain’t no George jetson, lol
"Bypass commercial security" drug dealers are gonna love this product :)
I thought the same thing but probably new protocols will take place. However, it's likely to be a faster procedure than the comercial one, I would say similar to private airplanes.
Oh yea, FAA is going to love this...NOT.
I guess Everyone will be asked to land for security check ups and police would be given bigger guns to shoot them down if driver/pilot doesn’t comply

The birth of sky rage
Last time I was this early we were meant to have flying cars by 2020.
thanks bush
we do
We've had flying cars for nearly a decade. They just haven't been commercially available
@@capnsteele3365 Yeah, we need them to go commercial but there are a bunch of problems that need to be taken care of before they go public. I hope they do come soon though.

Not this time buddy. One day soon youll go to a Russian bar and they’ll laugh at you and your American car without wings.

self-flying or driving hmm
I definitely agree...and solar powered while en route! I like the car/water/submarine! I’m a little afraid to fly so I’d rather car to bill at or underwater...so much less traffic!❤️
Unpopular opinion: we've already had flying cars for years, it's called the airplane. Airplanes are literally vehicles people use in the air.
These are upgrades
I though that was helicopters
No I don’t think it’s really an “unpopular opinion” it’s simply untrue not all vehicles are classed as such as cars or trains, trams or a helicopter. These new cars should actually be used to drive on a road.
Ah yes I love my airplanes which also drive on roads , they are not flying car , they can only fly and not do both
No, no, he's got a point
1960s: we will have flying cars in the future
2021: we have flying cars
Amazing! Every time we get closer to my childhood dream of living like The Jetsons XD
Tesla : have dog mode
This car : have airplane mode
MG:- Its a human thing
Duck-like vehicle -flies, walks, and swims 🌟👀
Musk thinks this idea isn’t realistic when you have millions or billions of these flying cars in the air.. hence his tunnel company
Wouldnt this require you to get a flying liecence
Yeah probably
Definitely and this thing probably won’t be the easiest to fly
It should require a driving license as well maybe
this is just dumb, people get in car accidents enough already, imagine just chilling in your house and a flying car just barrels straight through your house
Using flying car to go work in the middle of city? With wing that wide? With busy traffic? Where the F are you gonna land that thing? I would prefer a HOVERING car Not a FLYING car thanks..
I'm very impressed right now
Technology moving at its fastest pace. I wonder how speedy it would be to have interplanetary transportation.
*this is the 72th " first flying car" I have seen*
72nd*
We do have flying cars in 2020.
But they look like planes that were painted to look like a car. It doesn’t look realistic, I mean, anyone could have done that.
@@salut4396 but it drives...

very interesting video for the airtaxi.. incredible..
Looks like perfect dark wasnt overstretching 2020 after all
edit: HOLY SHIT JUST AFTER COMMENTING THIS I SAW A TRAILER FOR A NEW PERFECT DARK GAME ITS BEEN 15 YEARS!
Combine that car with an automatic foldable take off/landing strip and you have the perfect combination!
Innovation at its finest! 🔥
The old generation really thought we would publish flying car worldwide in 2021.
The tail usually generates down force when flying. The wings generate lift ("up force"), the tail generates a small amount of upside-down lift ("down force") to make the plane stable. Center of gravity is typically forward of the center of lift; that makes two down momentums on both sides of the center of lift, and you can alter the one on the back with the elevator, and change the plane's angle.

Learning that the South African engine is part of this innovation is really inspirational!!
Disappointed we are not fully participating on this kind of innovations, we have what it takes and the resources
That looks great. can't wait until 2030.
Looks good! Certainly a promising design!
I thought they were going to use an extremely efficient hypercar engine for their flying car.
Reality: Flying car. Fantasy: Me being able to afford one.
So cool technology!
3:26 that is Maldives for sure
Very Interesting
alright now we need the jets engines from those fighter jets on that
It will never be mainstream. This will be for the few. As aerospace will not allow just anyone to get in a car and go flying.
Awesome!
1980: in 2020 we will have flying cars
2020: uses reverse card and no flying car
Flying cars should be more like drones, than like mini jets. With airplane type design you will always need a runway to take off and land. With more of a helicopter design, like drones, you can just plop down and land and drive off.
This is so cool
Waow desain futuristik👍👍👍
Great! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
How did I never looked for a flying car ? This was the dream of most of people by the 90's.
People in 1920: “in 2020 there’s gonna be flying cars
2020: flying cars
The engine shown at 3:03 looks a lot like a WWII Merlin. It has little resemblance to the Adept Airmotive engine - which is a wide-angle, water-cooled 3.2 liter DOHC V-6 with the prop reduction gearbox cast as part of the block.
I love this, I want one
Someday these will become mainstream and available to the masses instead of just commercial products, and people will never have to worry about traffic again. Say goodbye 👋 to that when the day comes.
Very nice car
this is such a cool beast
I'd like to see it park in a general parking space lol!!
This has homologation for streets and air. And have a cruise speed of 300km/h (162kt) and a range of 1000km (621mi). Greetings from Slovakia.
Bond007 Needs One Now..!!....Parachute Optional...
That's so cool
2100: a car that makes two cars by splitting like aeomobia
3:05-Hmmm s South African Engine. This is going to good.
This is a game changer
Nice car
First flying car has created in Slovakia
How do you control air traffic with these cars? FAA?
Imagine seeing the reactions from people when you land that thing and ask what year it is😂
Is the folding wing structurally sound? I am not convinced until he loops it. Even my J-3 would loop and it had wood spars 30 years old at the time I owned it.
Almost looks like a supercar that you would be happy to drive around in.
Nice
Why don't they just put a helicopter propeller/engine onto those cars? That would be cool. Cars could then just fly like helicopters.
Love it! Making it available for families with 3 or 4 seats! Better not market it in Oldham then!
Imagine the insurance rate the average driver would have to pay for a flying car. Just to compensate for the possibility of crashing into someones six figure house, nevermind killing someone.
1950:we will havs flying cars in the future
2020:car go fly XXDDDDDD
Has nobody thought about the possibility that flying cars will probably be autonomous? I mean to drive it on your own would be a nightmare.
Too bad Elon Musk's flying robo taxis will kill this fun little project.
lol the Mark Rober clip tho
A little out of my price range, but one can dream 💭
A robber having this 500 iq easy escapes
Now I know what vehicle I’m taking during the apocalypse.
1960: "in the future we'll have flying cars"
2020: wait what the fuck
They're about to start selling a flying car that takes off vertically so it wont need an airport like this one. It's already obsolete
Park it in a parking space with that tail? Good luck with that, and better luck getting it out when the parking lot is full.
Sounds like we will all be living in the JETSONS world soon
Great
The start of “The Jetsons” era is around the corner
I'm just wondering that what would happen if someone thought of charging their phones on that wireless charger😂😂
This car is drug cartels dream 💭 by passing airport security
New Hampshire representttt
This is close! Once they can make the car transform from a normal car to this shape then we will fully have flying cars invented
FLYING CAR ! I got enough trouble keeping mine on the road !!!
epic.
Oh, nothing could go wrong with this idea.
On a positive note, this vehicle called a "flying car" actually resembles a car. So many "flying cars" are basically Cessnas with folding wings--to which I typically say, "That's not a flying car; that's a Cessna with folding wings." This vehicle actually looks a little more like what a flying car should actually be--namely a flying CAR. So, good job!
Nice little effort but how the hell am I supposed to find a runway between my home and my office. I can't even find proper parking. Also, 1 frigging million dollars! Yeah, I am glad everybody will be able to afford it.
What we need is a car that transforms itself into a helicopter, useful for getting out of traffic jams.
Helicopters cannot takeoff and land anywhere at will.
"we're told"
Unless you can buy one when this video was published, it isn't commercially available. As of June 2021 only the prototype has flown. So the title is ahead of itself.
The runway is the killer for this we Need VTOL
Damn when he said we wouldn’t be producing these for the masses until the end of the century I got kinda bummed... even if you’re born today you’ll be around 70 years old by the time you’ll be able to fly/drive one.
A cool big rich kid toy!
its just a bit ahead of its time.. Imagine electric cars in 1990's it just takes 20 more years for the technology to be fine tuned. Hope this company doesn't get bankrupt till then.
Still has to take off like a regular plane.
What are they doing about incorporating the technology of the UFO maneuvers?
Maybe they should revisit the Jetson's cartoon for Ideas. Also each driver will need to also have a pilot license. Do they have a radio so the driver can notify air control that they are now in the air?
As a transformer, I bet Megatrons gonna make our ground troops transform into this
In the 1960's it was estimated that most people would own a flying car by 1999. The fact is that in the United States, there is yet to be a flying car that would pass safety regulations. It is alright for a person to build a one off as it is not a commercial venture.
they should make a vehicle that can perform as a submarine, boat, car, airplane and a rocketship so u can take it anywhere.
I WAS THINKING THAT I WANNA CREATE AN FLYING CAR BUT THERES AL READY
Would be great Jame bond toy, or police car.
The cartel would’ve love to be there 1st customers
