You know it's just a generic fantasy series, right? Like any of the straight-to-VHS fantasy movies produced in the '80s and '90s. Amazon spent $250 million for the rights to brand it "The Lord of the Rings", but it bears no resemblance to what Tolkien actually wrote. Please tell me you know that. It's okay if you like it on its own merits, but if you like it because you think it's true to or faithfully expands upon Tolkien's work, you're simply wrong.
No. It's simply not a good show. The acting is bad. Calling it wooden is generous. The dialogue is God awful. Literally no one talks like this in Tolkien. or anything. The narrative is nonsense. It contradicts itself between scenes and episodes. There is no sense of time or distance between scenes. Characters just appear across the continent when the plot says so. It's cheap looking overall, even though they've copied the look of the Peter Jackson films extensively and even occasionally make this or that scene look good. And so on. 🎉Im not even talking about the lore. This would be a bad show no matter the names or lore or whatever. The Witcher is closer to Tolkien than this crap
