Those are called arbors. I built one along the back of my garage, and planted grape vines on it. Then placed a small table and 2 chairs so I could look out at my ornamental pool and waterfall, while drinking some wine. That timbered area on your house exterior is just known as half-timbered siding with stucco. Anyway, really really like this house. I wanted to give the Altos some more kids and this will be perfect. I always figured Nick wanted a son - which is why Holly was sort of stuck down in that bedroom off the kitchen. (More like where a butler or maid would have lived). So now I have somewhere to place the other kids.
