These jurors should be commended for looking over everything from point A to point B so seriously while at the same time (as was shown by the changing opinions of the jurors across the several days of deliberations and the ultimate ability of all twelve jurors to reach a unanimous verdict) also being willing to change their minds and base their conclusions on their review and analysis of all of the evidence in this case. If every jury was as diligent as this one, Americans could have faith that in courts across the country, just verdicts would almost always be reached.

    • @damiondmoore
      @damiondmoore 2 месяца назад +1

Because this is called "a report". This is a clip in a 30 minute slot for the news. If your misguided trust of the media is too much, the whole interview is available just so you can hear what the jury foreman said, so go view it just so you can hear in long form what the jury foreman said. Just as the media reported.
      Just that simple.

    • @damiondmoore

It's called "a report" in a 30 minute slot for the news. They have three to four minutes for each report. The whole interview is available for those who need to be spoonfed a 30 minute interview. The rest of us can get the report and the important stuff in three minutes.

This is why people are leaving legacy media. On RUclips, you could get the entire 30+ min interview, often Live, with chat asking questions. Instead, we get a 2 min clip of the interview- most of which is a voiceover explaining the case again

For everyone watching the trial at home it would seem everyone believed him guilty as well, which he obviously is.
Telles had some very talented defensive attorneys but his choice to be on the stand was a monumental mistake, he was definitely his own worst witness.
The prosecution attorneys were very talented as well.
Thank you very much for your service, taking the time to carefully look at all the evidence and coming to a correct verdict.

Telles' attorneys were frankly top tier. They did the best they could with a difficult client. I've seen a few interviews with them after the case and it's obvious from the way they talk that they knew he was guilty, but gave it their all anyway.

I understand withholding judgement until you go over all the evidence and innocent until proven guilty, but with all the forensic evidence it should have been a 2-hour discussion at most - not three days. We have BEEN conditioned by tic toc and the internet to believe all kinds of silly theories: flat earth, election fraud, fake moon landing, a pro hit man kills a reporter to frame this man... If they want to do away with this former pol, why would they not just have the hitman kill him? Marrons.

I have a theory that it's a similar psychological phenomenon to how inmates on jailhouse calls will spew sensitive information even though they know the calls are recorded. The desire to get information out is greater than the desire to not have prosecutors privy to that information. In Telles' case, he wanted to tell his story so badly that he didn't care that it was more likely to hurt him than help.

This Jury Foreperson did a very good job! And those jurors did a good job, and they got it right!! Telles DNA found under German's fingernails ought to have alerted ALL jurors right at the beginning of deliberations that Telles was guilty, case closed!! I think that is why most people thought it should have been a very quick guilty verdict by the jurors?!! And yes, Telles testimony on the witness stand was full of lies, especially given his testimony in the narrative format!! That was telling that even his own attorney knew he was lying!! The only thing Telles said that I believe was the truth was that he did have an extramarital affair with Roberta!! And Telles poor, beautiful wife! I can't believe she is still married to Telles after he cheated on her, he almost choked her out, and he drove *her* car to commit the murder!! Such huge betrayals!! I hope she finds the strength to divorce him and move on in her life! She could do way, way better than Telles!

R.e. The juror who didn’t want to convict Telles because she “just couldn’t believe someone would make so many dumb mistakes” committing the crime….. ummmmm….Does she not know what DNA is? Like, I mean that literally- do you think this human being actually literally does not know about the existence of DNA and what it is and how it identifies people?
I’m struggling trying to understand how you could have chunks of Telles’ flesh lodged under Germans fingernails on the one hand, and some “pretty dumb mistakes” on the other hand, and your conclusion is- “nope. No WAY he made the dumb mistakes. Someone must have cut bits of Telles’ flesh off while he was sleeping without him noticing and installed it under Jeff Germans finger nails in order to frame him for a murder, because there’s JUST NO WAY Telles could’ve made a mistake while committing a crime.”…..
    What. The. Absolute. FCK.

It's hard to look at another human being in the population and judge that they did something that virtually no other human being would do. Why was he so sloppy? He's not a professional murderer. It's that simple. He was a government worker. Even in his capacity working for the government, with as many years under his belt as he had, he could still be sloppy at that. Even the highest functioning people have their absolute stumbles and of all places I would expect it, it would be in a situation that high stress and high risk. Plotting to murder another human being is about as high stress and high risk as can happen in anybody's life.
Good riddance. He is a dangerous person. His stories and concoctions that all of these separate players and groups are all cohorts against him are just poorly conceived fiction. Maybe even as poorly conceived as this plot.
