  • Wanted to get this done earlier but didn't have time. Some small fuck ups but hey. Also, since this is in drop B, I just used my drop C guitar and the Kemper's transpose function to record everything down a half step.

    Awesome! I haven`t seen any covers on this song yet, that would sound so extremely close, like original. Pro. Hello from Ukrain :)

    Nice dude! I was learning the song earlier today and I was like wait.. This is Drop B? This is a new tuning for COB cause their songs are normally Drop C or D standard. I'm glad they finally branched out to new tunings. Their past albums were getting repetitive with the sound. Still awesome music though as always!

      BJ4Neil For this I just used a Kemper direct, guitar is a Jackson DK2 with a Crunch Lab in the bridge.

      How do you record with it? Do you need an audio interface or is it all in the kemper? Thanks man!

    What profile are you using in this one? :D Where can I get it?

    • @TaylorWashington

      Same Kemper sound I always used, search for "JE-E530 + Pwramp" on the Rig Exchange and it should pop up.

    I'm having trouble here dude, is this is drop C# or am I tripping???

    • @jeremythomson2310
      @jeremythomson2310 9 лет назад

      Jeremy Thomson ok Just read the top of that.. umm so Im in drop c# am the open notes sound the same as yours?

    • @TaylorWashington
      @TaylorWashington  9 лет назад +1

      Jeremy Thomson It's in the key of C# minor until the first verse but it still goes down to a low B. Verse is all in B minor and the rhythm part uses the low B a lot.

    I have a question: Is there any other way I can transpose my guitar without tuning it?
    Also, what strings are you using?
    Amazing cover by the way.

    Absolutely well done!
    I'm contemplating buying the Kemper myself, but I'm not sure whether I need a cabinet with or if I'm fine with just my studio monitors. What do you think? Thanks!

    • @TaylorWashington
      @TaylorWashington  9 лет назад +2

      Anders Skadhede Depends on how you want to use it. For home playing I always go through my studio monitors. For playing with other guitarists that use cab setups I run through a cab so everything blends better. If I'm playing with a band that has really low stage volume then I'll just go through the PA. You definitely don't need a cab for it though.

      Thanks for clearing it out me! What about getting the one with powerhead or the one without? The price difference is pretty significant!

    • @TaylorWashington
      @TaylorWashington  9 лет назад +1

      Anders Skadhede I went with a Powerhead because I knew I'd be playing it through cabinets a lot of the time and I wanted to have the smallest, most compact, and most streamlined rig I possibly could. If you think you won't be playing through a cab very often I'd go with the non-powered version. If you decide later that you want a power amp for it there are a couple companies who make power amps that fit inside the back, it would end up being cheaper than buying a powered Kemper too. Or you could also get something like the ISP Stealth Pro.
