Could you maybe explain how you opened up your Sl73 case, so that you could reach the keys and pull them out? I have a SL-88 Studio, which I completely freed from all the screws, but, except for the plastic sides, the other parts wont seem to open up. Do you know what I'm doing wrong here?
Sadly I don't have anymore, but you need to pull out all the screws at the back of the keyboard, like the ones that are in the deeper strip at the back that runs from side to side. Then GENTLY, pull off the top part
@@b00ts4ndc4ts I purchaced a Numa X Piano and needed the money to cover the extra cost. If you think SL keybed is great, then Numa X piano keybed will drop your jaw
@@jjptech I have just started playing, before this I played guitar. I have just bought a sl88 studio and I am happy with studiologic's gear. Wow the numa does look and sound really nice, and I think that could be my next purchase.
You will need to clean the circuit board that hold a small strip of grey rubber, and replace that rubber, you will need to contact support to check if they can send you the spare part
HI! I know that this is an unrelated question, i need to fit a sl73 in my keyboard tray, but there is not enough space, i do not need the joysticks or knob. Is it possible to have it disassembled like you and still use it?
Very interesting question. The issue with keeping it open is that the Computer of the keyboard is in the top part, the USB connector is also in the top part. If you manage to dismount the screen, the Circuit board and plug it to the keybed, it will work.
I have a new SL73 just 2 weeks old. Thanks for the post. This reveals a lot. I am guessing it is simply a matter of opening by loosening screws and that is simple, right?
Hey, nice video. Im thinking about purchasing a numa x gt88. Im weighing in if that's a good choice vs Yamaha CP88. I have had a Yamaha Clavinova CVP 505 for over 10 years. I love its sound, but I need a portable keyboard for gigging. I'm afraid of changing to a different brand and dislike its piano sounds. Could you give me your insight please? Thanks.
The numa have decent sounds, but not as good as yamaha, the sounds in numa need little more of care and love from studiologic, but are not bad. Now, the keybed is from another wolrd. Haven't found yet a keybed like that. Weighted but you can still play synth. Keep in mind that they sell their keybeds to Nord, and numa ises the same keybed of the Nord Stage 4.
3h of playing a brand new Sl88 keyboard, and one of my G keys already has a little plastic noise... I really like the keyboard, but I do have to question the brand. Thanks for the video, though I hope I won't be needing it in the future!
Hi brother Am having a different complications.. Was doing service my keys PCB.. The FFC cable connector got damaged. I order a new board from USA.. The keyboard is a KURZWEIL ARTIS 88.. using fatar tp100lr Where can I get new or used FFC cable..?? Thank u
Thank you for this video! My SL73 Studio (TP/100LR with aftertouch) has a loose key (C5), it has started to slightly wiggle left and right, about 1 mm and that compromises play feel as the key gives sideways as you push it. Has anyone experienced that and come up with a solution?
Thanks for sharing this technique!

No idea to be honest.
Where does squeaky key come from - same place - front of key or back?
Front. it's in the mechanism that prevents the key from going side to side in the front
OK.. thank u.. does all TP100LR 88 keybed is the same??
Yes. All come from the same factory in italy
Thanks it helped me a lot and I fixed my Arturia kelylab 88. Im vers greatful!
I believe ve that those arturia also use a Fatar TP-100 keybed like this one, isn’t it? Is exactly the same or do you see any variations?
