Just bought a used Ignis 2021 SZ3 MHEV after 15 years of Altos and it’s a brilliant little SUV. No alloys, infotainment, Alldrive or cruise control but that doesn’t matter as it does everything I ask of it. Just don’t know why I waited so long. Thanks Suzuki👍.
I rented this car on holiday, at first I was bit embarrassed but after driving it’s actually quite fun to drive and it’s very revvy engine and very roomy inside.
Yes you should buy one. They are very roomy, reliable and reasonably comfortable for a small car. For the money they are the best small car on the market.
Do not buy this car, the steering has a big problem, when you steer maximum left or right and keep it there it feels like it touches something and the dealership says it’s not a problem, when in fact it is a big one …
Hi the first Bs I found about the Ignis as an owner in Australia is that it is a city runabout. My little ignis loves the highway. I live in the Mallee Wimmera Victoria, very flat. Travelling at 100 KPH on the flat 1800 RPM's. A very steep hill it got to 2700 RPM's (6300 RPM's before it harms engine.) for a short burst. It cruises at around 24 kilometers per litre at 100 KPH. It is an amazing vehicle. Only fault is road noise. You have to learn to drive the cvt gearbox from take off for a smooth effortless acceleration. I maintain a constant 2000 revs under acceleration (gently) until I reach my required speed then taper off. Roundabouts I approach like a racing car driver slow down then progressively accelerate around the roundabout for a smooth cvt operation. Solid built vehicle, open the boot bonnet doors then close them and hear that clunk that only comes from a well built car. I am 6'1"(185 cm) and it is so easy to enter exit my Ignis. I still have height adjustment in the seat. Only thing I will doing is changing the oil/filter every 7.500 k's. 15000 km services are BS.
👍 Finally a real driver about using the cvt. I am tempted too now, if you can avoid too much crazy revving it seems to otherwise bring the car along perfectly engaged. I would worry more about changing the cvt gear oil and it's filter though, as the steel belt on the pulleys is constantly soiling and heating the oil wich is said to be the cause of most cvt's early demise. It might be possible to upgrade the oil cooler as well 🤔🤔🤔 I just saw the car wizzard video on it😅
The Only Problem I feel is that the Ignis should have had Length - 3900mm. 10cm more in the Rear Door and Backseat Space. And 10cm more in the Bootspace. That would be Perfect.
thank you i have allready bought one. It's - to me - perfect. Just one question : for your demonstration... could your reporter have any inspiration and expiration between to words ? It would be more relaxing for us. Sorry.
Thanks for a very well detail-described car. I like your thoughts on lil' details like f.ex. maneuverability when getting in and out the car. Nice one to have in mind.

I like the Ignis but my big complaint with the ignis is that Suzuki only give you one remote key. This is not trivial - try buying an after market one!
@@eagle1effi We put up with anything over here in the UK. I am part German myself so I seem to be the only one kicking up a fuss about it. Another remote key costs nearly 500 euros!
@@duncanstewart6982 Very interesting if it was the SZT model . I know that the SZ5 came with keyless remotes but I was not aware that any SZTs came with two remote keys. I have owned 2018 and a 2022 models. Both had one remote key and one manual. An extra remote was only available as a very expensive extra.
the 7 inch central touch display is not a pioneer system if it was it may have been ok, its a Bosch SLDA incar infotainment as fitted also in jimny and some renault and is pretty awful..
That screen actually doesn't look like a pioneer system, the pioneer system that i know of on it has only buttons on the bottom and has a disc drive...
It is a Bosch audio system, works perfect with bluetooth and USB(Android Car). I have an Ignis 2017 since, no problems at all. Well.. one: a little bit noisy, that's all
I'm 182 - even have to jack-up seat to use the visors near sunrise/sunset (usually just wear a cap) but there is much glare here (AU). At 189 you should find a very comfortable driving position.
Be aware....the hybrid system doesn't work in cool weather. Anything under 7C is likely not to work....or if it does you will have to drive for a while before it "warms up" enough...kind of defeats the purpose of a city car which is meant mostly for short trips.
I understand. It's pretty noticeable though. If it was truly not noticeable....why put it in? And....why does it only work when it's warm? Comment from AutoExpress A helpful boost of electric power comes from the SHVS mild hybrid system aiding the 1.2-litre petrol engine. The power is supplied by a small battery pack under the passenger seat, and the electrical boost makes a brief but noticeable difference when pulling away.

What a guy, I’d be flying about a city and he is out on a country road. He hasn’t a clue. Another waste of time with a clueless Starbucks mentioning chap. Plus he says esh UV
I had one when they first came out for a week. It was like driving in a tin can. It was hard work driving it. Definitely not impressed and noisy. Very compact.

Own one since 2016 and it's nice.
majority of the noise in this car is cause of the tires. Yokohama Earth1 and a Continental model which I forgot significantly reduce road noise

it's a global model of suzuki with a great pair of factory front lamp specs, great agility and fuel efficient
It's like a baby Jeep. Probably better than a Wrangler.
And a hell of a lot cheaper.

some say it is comfortable with soft ride and some other review says it is hard ride?
maybe not all Ignis are the same, who knows
Brands adapt the suspension depending on the country you are in. Roads in India aren't the same as in the Netherlands.
Could be a future replacement for my mk3 Panda… very similar style of car but I think this looks abit more practical

That metal triangle in the rear doors has to go. It's awful for visibility and serves no purpose. It also looks ridiculous from the outside.

No mention of the lack of rear sensors, not even as an option, not good for a city car. Mistake by Suzuki.
Reversing camera, on a small car? Thats enough. More than many others as standard.
You have a rear camera, that helps.
Side mirrors + camera will always be better than sensors
