Interesting how the DEI bait is thrown for a cover up after a high ranking whistleblower was found dead by a bullet days after warning that this might happen to him and he will not commit suicide, and when Bri tries to shed light on the bait as being a bait still weirdly enough people take the bait and attack Bri. People never fail to astonish lol
Question, are the top executives going into the engine rooms with screwdrivers and spanners??? Hire ppl that’s qualified, I don’t know why race has to be a factor… It’s only dei when the person is not white as if whites are not humans… i don’t see anyone coming to Africa to ask companies to hire more white ppl..
According to a family member who retired from Boeing (white, male, engineer) the big change was when they brought in more business people. Promotion opportunities for engineers were greatly reduced (even removed) which promoted a culture of money over engineering. Believe what you want but personally I trust his insight a lot more than anyone who just wants to blame bad dei as the root cause.
motive is everything
Thanks for saying this. Brie was trying to say the exact same thing until Robbie keeps trying to hide the ball. This is why I never trust Libertarians.
Most likely a combination of the two. Boeing most certainly moved from having engineers and aviators to having accountants and marketing types... DEI policies were likely used to facilitate the change.

DEI is just the latest excuse to cut corners by top executives to make as much profit as possible, even at the expense of quality and safety.
diversity, equity and inclusion has nothing to do with it. the issue is when DEI becomes a financial strategy for capitalists and not a moral code of ethics corporations must adhere to.
I was scratching my head trying to figure how DEI has something to do with the quality of their product
@@blakdad The DEI excuse is of course a racist dog whistle and total nonsense. My father retired from a major jet engine manufacturer as a QA inspector/manager and I worked in A&D as a consultant for a significant part of my career. It's McDonnell Douglas, not DEI.
The DEI argument is running cover from the fact this is a top down leadership problem of corporate greed and poor management. Its a top down problem not a bottom up problem

Robbie does go out his way to be obtuse many times. Yes DEI has a lot issues but this hasnt really been a thing in the corporate space until quite recently while the issues highlighted by the whistleblowers have been going for much longer for example the issues in building the 787 dreamliner which was built way before DEI and these other initiatives became more prevalent.
CORPORATE GREED!
Bri, that is the point. Allowing the biggest mega corporations do progressive black face instead of any paying more, better benefits, or anything to address real issues that go across racial lines, only helps the mega corporations. So supporting DEI, CRT, etc. is just progressive black face, and only serves to divide and distract from collective and meaningful change.

in this segment her stance clearly wasn't about making workers have to endure DEI practices or some inclusivity emails
for one, it was about the safety of the passengers due to corporation greed
and then since Robby pressed her for a take on something else
she answered and informed him that she's okay w/ companies taking into consideration race as a way to bring in qualified workers, of that race
Robby+ others have to shift the story or create a narrative that the problem is that due to DEI bad workers were hired instead of what the issue really is,
that bad, greedy companies risk safety and cut quality for profit
Oh no soft voice Bri is back!...at least she interrupts less when she plays that card...
Wait how TF is DEI the problem! lol that’s bizarre!
It's not! Ruffo's whole shtick is anti DEI!!
The claim is that DEI is a distraction. You don’t have to agree and can think a company can walk and chew gum at the same time, and I mostly agree. But the claim isn’t difficult to understand.

Briahna is right. You can't blame it just on DEI. Diversity is for qualified diverse people not unqualified.
OH WOW, INTELLIGENT THOUGHTS!! Rare for a segment of this audience...
Brianna is conflating two issues.
The planes that went down were years ago and unrelated to manufacturing.
As reported at the time, the planes went down because of a flaw in the RE-ENGINEERING of the aircraft.
They installed significantly larger and heavier engines which resulted in the plane being out of balance.
Would that have been different had engineers been upper management of Boeing?
Maybe.
But where were the engineers and their slide rules when they themselves decided to change the mass of the engines without considering its impact on the way the plane flies?
The stories of the time report that Boing did put out guidance on changes in balance, but they failed to require retraining for the pilots.
Robbie, why don’t you know this enough to push back?
And maybe Brianna doesn’t know that this was a completely different issue.
Or, maybe she’s just putting everything into a bucket because she’s so deeply lost in her own ideology.
Why did they fail to require retraining?
@@luodeligesi7238 They did not want to delay the deployment of the plane because of $$$$$$
Bri literally cuts Robby off EVERYTIME he tries to talk in this very video, and she does this in EVERY video. But she is so quick to scream "Let me finish my sentence." when Robby, daily, let's her talk for minutes at a time. Robby, all but had maybe 20 seconds of uninterrupted speaking time in a 11 minute video. This isn't Rising, this is just the morning edition of her podcast.
Why does it matter. Here, let me sum up Robbie's stance for you. Corporate profit and greed is good, to much regulation is bad so until planes are dropping from the sky, lets blame DEI cause that's the thing he's built his career on. Oh yeah, also defending social media and all tech even when it is slowly but surely helping to destroy the country. Or an easier conservative viewpoint in general, lets hide our head in the sand and keep doing what we're doing until the deaths rack up to the point where we're forced to do something even if that means it's too late. to make meaningful changes.

If i wanted to watch a bad faith take on every Republican or non-democratic position, i would just watch something else. This isn't Rising anymore from years ago, this is Rising's dead corpse that Bri wears a skin suit for her to use as another version of her dumb podcast that nobody watches.... which literally has gained no followers since she has been hosting here by the way, which should say something. But I miss the Old Rising, either they need to go back to a 3 person panel to force her to share air time, Robbie grows up and starts pushing back on what we clearly all are seeing from his inconsiderate co-host daily, or they get someone else in there who doesn't let her monologue for 10 minutes about Gaza, Bernie Sanders, or DEI in her soft voice.
@@christopher92051 She's had some really good discussions on her podcast but I haven't watched any of her stuff really since the gaza thing started.
Don't know what old rising you're talking about. Krystal also cuts people off all the time and Sagar never really stands up to her even now. At least Robbie sometimes pushes back on Bri. Amber (think that's her name) certainly does.
The real difference is that Bri is an activist and for Robie this is a job. Bri drones on and on making nuanced arguments about things (that are often hard to follow) which people don't like cause they want everything to be black and white. She also points out hypocrisy which people also don't like. She drives me crazy as well though a lot of times with some of her takes on things so I get why ppl dislike her. As much as she can drive me crazy I still appreciate the nuance.
@@Tempus64 Krystal Ball was dumb, Bri is intelligent. So when she argues the other side in bad faith, it's intentional. That kind of activistism has no place on a platform that is telling you news like channels such as this that claim to be fair to both. Implying that hiring more people from marginalized groups is the reason why the quality of whatever they produce is reduced is essentially, although somewhat covertly, implying that people from those groups couldn't possibly have the qualifications necessary for the job. People who say this kind of thing are arguing that black people, brown people, people who happen to be women, people who happen to be LGBT+, and people from other marginalized groups are also incapable of rising to the same of technical proficiency as white, male, heterosexual etc. people. This is a biased attitude whether the person expressing it realizes this or not (and I think many do not follow their own argument to its logical conclusion so don't have this realization). No one sees an issue at work and has their first thought about it be that the company much have hired to many white men at that job.
Exactly, it's a sneaky clever way to do it. Same ol stuff
@@blakdadyep same stuff they’ve been doing for decades while the real culprits, rich corporate execs run away with millions
Corporations are RUSHING to hire POC to meet ESG scoring requirements - all while POC literacy/academic rates are at HISTORIC LOWS. Black students in the US have a 40% illiteracy rate NATIONWIDE and 70% illiteracy rate in urban areas. Similar numbers for Hispanic students (including illegal alien children who do not speak/write/read ENGLISH fluently).
So, given the lower amount of COLLEGE Ready Students, let alone college graduating POC students - standards are often being lowered to meet the quotas - whether it is like the Airline industry proposing to lower required flight times to increase POC pilots, Oregon eliminating the need to pass the BAR exam (or even pass classes to graduate high school), etc. it's a race to the bottom of the barrel at GREAT EXPENSE to the tax payers that are being defrauded and the employers/country that are being harmed by underdeveloped and over rationalized promotion of people that are not qualified for their jobs (or at least not YET qualified).
Can it be both? Companies have always tried to maximize profits but are now hiring less based on merit also.
Curious if Brie and Robbie still talk after heated debates, when off-screen.
I find it amazing they still work together to be honest.
I think they used to be friendly, but I can’t imagine any kind of mutual love left here. Bri is just too aggressive and demeaning, she has a huge hatred of white men, so Robbie hasn’t a chance. They’re no longer viable as cohosts. Amber needs to replace Robbie.

Like the greedflation narrative, it requires a belief that Boeing suddenly got greedy recently.

The only thing funny is the Robbie is most likely a DEI hire.
Corporate greed or DEI ? Well the combination of both of them is deadly.
Its so uncomfortable watching Bri harass her coworker in real time.
People trained in business lack the critical thinking that the brutality of getting a PhD in engineering involves!
I wish Robbie would not let her silence him.
DEI has nothing to do with hiring, its an optional club or group type of network that employees can join if they choose. Harassment trainings are mandatory because the company's need to protect themselves from employees who cant behave professionally. Quality standards are a completely separate issue from all of this. What is the goal of bringing up DEI all the time? The right seems to love talking about identity politics when it fits their agenda.
Wow! Bri has really figured Rob out. Rob... I wish you would better prepare...maybe less hours gaming and/or D&D.
Bri: “ I can’t get to the end of my sentence.” 😂😂😂😂 zero self awareness
Robby was so wack in this segment and when it comes to Boeing is inconsistent
just the other day he was saying, ""...I'm not saying they shouldn't be looked into and if Boeing has done something wrong and these are preventable errors and we... you know we want to catch it before it does, before a plane actually crashes
I'm not saying... 'you know don't sound a cautionary note or anything like that', this is a number of incidents and you know i want to know why are these things happening is it really that they started assembling their planes with like elmers glue and scotch tape or what's going on?"
then in the same video goes on to condemn regulations, and how it is security theater and makes flying more difficult, that even makes it to where people cannot become pilots, then it seems like Robby had to pivot+connect the stories together
because the initial racial(-ist) conversations/hypotheticals have been around seeing a Black pilot when you board your plane, not thinking about the plane's quality because it was built by non-qualified people who were solely hired based off their race!
Briahna was completely on point here, "...these conversations cannot repeatedly get derailed into exactly what the corporatists want you to talk about..."
You’d think Bri would do some self reflection after that embarrassing performance with Matt Taibi
Robby bringing that weapons grade tunnel vision whenever DEI can be mentioned.
Looks like we have some employees talking about shortcuts and some other employees talking about hiring practices. I’d think the appropriate response is to do some investigating. Rather than just deciding who’s right.

Multiple things can be true at the same time. Maybe it's both greed *and* DEI.
He's gonna need that golden parachute
In fact, when you have a loser employee who "thinks" he has good ideas or observations but who is an idiot, you start to ignore him, leave him out of meetings, and reassign him to a job no one wants. This is exactly the kind of person who would become a "whistleblower" if it was easy to do so. It might be true. And I would probably presume he were right if he came out of the blue instead of joining the bandwagon.
DEI is another aspect of corporate greed due to the economic incentives that they offer to companies that do this. And of course they eliminate a focus on quality
This DEI BS is a deflection to cover the real issue. Shareholders' profits and Congressmens' "xtra" incomes (for new contracts) cause a decrease of quality expenses.

I’m no fan of DEI, but even I can see that’s a clear distraction in the case of Boeing.
Corporate greed, dei ….at the end, it’s just a culture of prioritizing certain agendas being money and/or hiring the wrong people instead of focusing on quality, excellence, professionalism and dedication. I’ve seen old videos of Boeing assembly lines and a good portion of workers were of color and they never had faulty issues the way they have now. (The only difference is that these workers were highly skillfully trained). There are 2 undeniable reasons why you end up making a faulty product: budget cuts and bad choices in HR. First, you have to satisfy shareholders so you cut down on budget (close down factories, reuse old aircrafts and put bigger green engines on it to attract buyers, renegotiate contracts with sub contractors, relocate processes, and get rid of highly paid engineers (especially in quality control) then comes DEI and it works great for Boeing because now they can hire unskilled workers for a fraction of the cost of highly trained skilled workers under the pretext of inclusivity to replace those skilled workers and you get Alaska Airlines failure. On top of that you put FAA in the middle who delegates oversight to Boeing employees (still paid by Boeing) and you get catastrophic results. Boeing should go back to manufacturing planes the way they did and forget about Wall Street pressure, remove DEI policies and fire all the people they hired under this regime, FAA should not give oversight to Boeing employees when it comes to safety and avionic systems. That’s a system that use to work perfectly so why change it?
I still love you both.
The 787 is built by scab labor in South Carolina to cut costs.
DEI & ESG tends to be enforced by shareholders like Blackrock. So it is a mix of that and greed. The worst of corporate America. Maybe us flyers should form a group and buy Boeing stock and vote safety first. As for the problems the whilsteblower reports, given that the 787s and the builds of the the post- 2010 777s were built during the same toxic culture which allowed the deadly MCAS v1, I find likely that the problematic joins between the fuselage sections could be defect. At the very least, the airlines should do inspect for these defects and invoice Boeing for the work.
I’m here for the music
Old music was better, this new song is so commercialized, way too pop.
Shameful passing the buck onto DEI. Corporate greed is the bottom line.
