Ive been messing around with a build very similar but cant seem to find the sweet spot and gear rolls I am very happy with. I am using picaros holster and trying to optimize gear for skill damage and status effect but I just cant seem to get away from wanting to run 1 piece of wyvern for the skill damage. The only way I can pull it off is going to the ninjabike bag but I miss the armor regen and skill efficiency way too much from memento. I have kinda back burnered it for now until I see some better rolls for gear.
It would work but it would decrease the output of your skills. I will have to circle back to this build to confirm but I suspect the Capacitor will likely outperform the Kingbreaker overall as it’s damage scales on Skill tiers. We’re in the process of moving; my computer/streaming setup is still at the old house but I will cover this on a stream later this week; probably Wednesday evening.
On my main character I crafted a new Empress Chest with crit chance and skill damage, then recalibrated the talent to Glass Cannon. I also recalibrated three of my pieces from skill haste to crit chance and replaced all the skill haste mods with crit chance. Crit chance is now 53.4% (with some optimization still to go) and skill cooldown is up to 17.6 seconds without Momento stacks. Once Momento is stacked, cooldown is 14-15 seconds. I ran it quickly on Heroic and it tears through content! You have to be slightly cautious until Momento has some stacks but I could play out of cover and only had one armor break when I got caught between two groups. I didn’t go down and fought my way clear. I think this is close to optimal for my play style for up to Heroic. For Legendary, I will probably revert back to Kinetic Momentum with PFE mods and Explosive resistance in place of the crit chance on the gear pieces.
Question for you on recommendations for a status effect build. I currently run the Vile mask and 4 pieces of Eclipse Protocol (including chest and pack) with a Belstone piece for the armor regen, and the technician specialization. Skills are the airburst mine and stinger. I'm working towards getting max armor regen on at least 3 pieces so I can switch to a Golan piece for more status effects, and the rest try to max out skill haste and status effects. I'm curious if I should forgo the Eclipse backpack for one with Creeping Death to increase my build's 'infectivity', or stick with it for the 30% bonus skill damage? Is spreading the effect faster better, or just let Vile do its thing and make it more aggressive? Previous to this, I was running Hard Wired with BTSU gloves, cluster seekers and stinger hive. Edit to add: I primarily use Culebere (I don't have a scorpion yet) and an 1886 with Preservation (Not entirely sure if I want The Virginian, and with my build Diamondback isn't at full potential) I also have a Stoner with Steady handed for taking on recon drones.
A couple of questions; Do you run solo or in a group? What is the intended purpose for the build? i.e., Legendary crowd control, solo convoy farming, general game play etc.
I think you are correct. The way I read it is that each skill adds a stack while in combat and there can be a max of 15 stacks per skill. So with two skills that is 30 stacks.
Not a scientific test but. . .In the firing range, if I have the turret firing at an Invulnerable Elite target, it's doing 168K damage per bullet. When I launch the drone and target it on one of the other range targets, the turret damage jumps up to 201K per bullet. I conclude that the total skill damage buff is 15 for each skill for a total of 30.

Since you are using the technician. Would using the king breaker with the pulse laser be a viable alternative weapon?

Skill haste mods don't help much for turret and drone. You could use crits.

Kinetic momentum provides a total skill damage buff of 30 right? 15 from each skill? It’s very weirdly worded but that was my impression. Great build!
