Everybody who shouts at this engine, I have a Corolla Altis 2010 D4D over a lac KMS , still runs as good as new. You either love it or hate it, but it's very practical car : I have hit a top speed of 180 km/hour( speedo ) and cruises comfortably at 140-160 km/hour. Absolutely practical comfortable sedan, a bit boring but more of a head than heart purchasing decision.
the new model still comes with diesel in india, in pak we dont have diesel in the new generation corolla. how much will it cost to purchase the same 2017 diesel corolla i.e. 1.8. can someone guide
TOYOTA Corolla Altis in Diesel variant is basically a cab car or fleet cars for 5 star hotels, thats why are are given only 1.4 L diesel with no music system, (forget about Navigation system). Its great car for foreign tourist as its also a global car.
Indeed a very good reliable trustworthy car but this car only comes with about 80-90 bhp which i feel is quiet low for a car of this size while others like City, Verna come with 110-120 bhp..I understand that its tuned for comfort, city driving and mileage..but Toyota has to offer more if it wants to appeal the enthusiasts. Toyota should offer this one with more features and tech as standard and not as optional accessories.
New Corolla look stunning ...especially DRL ..I personally believes that Corolla diesel not under powered ..right powered vehicle for Indian condition..and u look at how fuel efficient the car aswell. I regret I own Toyota Innova crysta 2.8l ..just because of its fuel efficiency figure 10km/l .

I personally feel a good mix of english and hindi is good. Rather than fighting it out like kids about English being foreign and Hindi being Indian, we should have the mindset to learn as much as possible in life. Is that not fun? I have been following Motown India and these guys do a good mix of Hindi and English sometimes and both are easy to understand. Take this as a learning rather than cussing each other like rotten kids. At the end of the day, we are all Indians and we love our country and its people!!!
The road noise is completely out of hand. If you buy one, get it dampened, otherwise you will lose your hearing over time. I already had to set up an appointment with my hearing doctor. I cannot even imagine what the noise in a diesel would be like.
A 1.4 litre car is good for indian road conditions but corolla is way too over price.... A person would opt for Octavia which is the best in the executive sedan level..... for a 1.4 litre engine ciaz goes way ahead of corolla. Ciaz petrol delivers about 15kmpl in city and costs way less than corolla. Infact ciaz offers more features too

Corolla altis facelift is definitely An awesome sleeky head turner with a great reliability n service... But with tat 18-20lac price tag no costumer wud xpect a etios engine humpedup n thrown into this beauties bonnet.. toyota pls jackup ur D-4D engine for corolla altis rather than the skin alone.. And yup improve the number of airbags as well fit a roof/pillar or wateve rear AC vent.. Damn cars which cost half its price get a rear ac vent.. And for a spacious sedan of this size it wud be too difficult to cool it in our hot n humid Indian climate.... But its quality fit n finish are in par with its german rivals.. As well luks like a baby camry with loaded features
Instead of opting for Maruti cars with zero quality build levels Toyota could easily get this car with a better diesel auto transmission engine & see how the car rocked ... Shame on Toyota for joining hands with Maruti & fool people ..

@@krishchaudhry2222 i20 does not have split folfing rear seats atleast the base model does bot have. The honda city does not have folding rear seats or adjustable rear headrests even the new one does not have those feature. The freestyle does not have split fold function.
