I hope more people pay attention to nature and not buy into corporate methods of gardening. I love how Paul, on backnto eden, prunes his fruit trees! Keep up the great videos! I can't wait to see what this year brings in Michigan.
I don't think you'll see trees that shape anywhere else! How any people have to lean down to pick apples because their trees are TOO productive?? So much knowledge we can all benefit from and now we can ask in real time.
'Can't think of a better hang out!' Haha, so true. Sadly, the lives they do are usually at a very late hour in the UK. Still, it makes me joyful to see they do them. They are helping lots of people. I've learnt so much from Paul, especially about the woodchips and the pruning of trees.
Your welcome. Love your content 🙂and look forward to watching your garden grow. I hope to begin a small one this spring. On a tight budget so I will develop as I'm able beginning with some raised beds made from free pallets.@@FastGardeningMichigan
@@kristag7208 I am focusing more on zero cost growing and cutting costs anywhere I can on my homestead. I'll be doing a lot more videos on cost saving. Now more than ever we need to find ways to grow without the extra costs
Nice story, I've been debating whether to till or not for these fruit plants. I think I might a little and add in some manure and hay and cover it with grass clipping. I do also have some woodchips and saw dust from chainsawing firewood. Subbed to those guys. So happy that the season is just about here.
Appreciate the heads up! Subbed and rang the bell. Hope to see you there. Shameless plug time... Mossy Creek Mushrooms with Andrew and Samantha. It's a nice, small group.
Thanks so much! It's so hard to sort thru all the channels ...many conflicting opinions! I subscribed and I'm looking forward to getting some quick responses :)
Good one sir! I have subbed to check it out! No reason to fight nature when nature will win regardless of what we do! I'm hoping there's a way to use leaves instead of wood chips because leaves are free and replace themselves every year. I use them as mulch and a nice blanket over raw dirt which also helps with water retention. I've replanted my snow peas from Dec. because deer really like them😤. It's ok because I like fat deer! Good luck this year! 👍 Central Virginia zone 7a!
I love to see content creators promoting each other! I just found you today, and was ecstatic, now you've turned me on to another great channel! I have a very old book called Back to Eden, that inspired my gardening habit 40 years ago(I'm 62), long before the internet. The book was written in the early 1900s, but the principles made sence to me. Now it seems to be the fastes growing garden trends in the US. For once in my life, I'm ahead of the game!
Awesome!
It's so cool. I am a huge Paul Gautschi fan. Being able to talk to him directly is such a blessing. So much knowledge
Thank you. I subscribed.
Enjoy!

There was a lot of discussion on chips and cardboard last week

I believe a final till can be beneficial. As long as there's no foot traffic it'll stay fluffy

I'll be there Monday!

It's a fun time. Next event is Monday evening
Are you trying to tell me I shouldn't take over the comments section talking about punk, weed and Chicago?! The nerve ! 😅
😂

Lots of content with leaves and woodchips. You can ask Paul what he thinks! If I had to guess he'll probably say "cover the soil!"
Im a new subscriber and i have been Guarding with back to Eden methods for 10 to 15 years
Awesome! Hopefully I'll see you in the LIVE events on Mondays. It's so cool having a way to talk directly to Paul Gautschi
Thanks for sharing this resource. I had a similar epiphany with watching nature work. Reframing our understanding of weeds and watering.
It's crazy how one observation can change everything. Then we find that everything works together to balance out.
