That one squirrel wants to be a star! Love following along on your adventures to grab a SNRF portrait. I'm heading up there in a couple weeks to grab some milkyway over Lassen shots. It's a great park
Nice! I want to reshoot the manzanita lake/Mt Lassen/Milky Way shot this summer… I’ve never timed it with super calm water for reflections, and I want that one! Amazing location!
Randy hope your doing well. I have put cameras up since they became available. I run 10 cameras only had people on them once in that time. Good luck on getting your permit.
So many waterfowl in the trail cam shots! Nice score on the marten. I've been frankly stunned at where folks have turned up on my cameras, places where I thought no other humans would ever go. Maybe it's just a Tahoe thing, but those things are everywhere down here! Anyway, keep at it; you'll get 'em sooner or later!!!
A lot of it is location, yes. The Lassen National Park wilderness off-trail is seldom traveled by anybody. From what I've seen of Tahoe, I'd be scared to leave cameras out for fear of theft. Very "peopley" around there!
@@RandyRobbinsPhotography It has gotten very "peopley," indeed. A little too much so! Way back in 2011 I had a snowmobiler steal a film P&S off a Trailmaster setup that was way out there. It was super disappointing to lose the shots/data, but who in the heck wanted a banged up film camera in 2011!?!?!?! $0 resale value. Such a bummer, but now all of my cameras now are cable-locked to something thick (and caged to keep the bears from immediately destroying them).
Always amazes me how you can relocate your cameras. Thanks for taking us along with you.
