Hay I’m tryna put a fluidampnr on my 2010 legacy gt speb b… what do you know about the timing covers and how swap able they are…. It looks like imma need a longer crank pulley bolt and a different center timing cover that fits the shape of the newer engines with the metal covers…. Is there a company that sells smth like that can I make one?? Can I just buy a metal one n slap it on???
@@VictorRamirez-xk2kn hello Victor. We did not get a 2010 Spec B here in the states that I am aware of. They stopped making them in 2009. I also have never installed a Fluiddampner on an EJ engine so I do not have any insight to that . It may be worth asking a company like Flat Irons Tuning or IAG in regards to that. You can also try checking legacygt.com
I think it definitely depends on your situation. It is very time consuming and also very expensive. I probably spent close to 15k USD swapping this over. You can do it for less if you do the work and don't go for an aftermarket ECU or fully built transmission, but it'll probably still be between 5-10k USD when done. My car already had a ton of work done to it and was a rust-free example so to me it was worth the cost and hassle. If you've already got a vehicle that's kind of rusty or maybe doesn't have a ton done to it, you might be better off selling your car and buying a manual transmission version if you can find one.
Ive got a 5 speed legacy gt currently. Cant wait for the day where i can find a stock and clean 2007 spec b
@@boltimus it's definitely getting harder every year!

Is it worth swapping it over? I am from the uk and have an important estate with a 5eat and want to go manual too!
