2 things I love about this: The Tower Ladder parks perfectly so the boom can deploy between the light pole and the building. The Tower Ladder immediately sets up bucket operation and goes to work.

Thanks! We were in the right place at the right time to really catch this one-heard the sirens and simultaneously heard the call on the scanner and realized it was only two blocks away. Usually when we race to a 10-77, we miss most of the incoming units unless it goes to a second alarm, and they’re often under control before we get there. It was cool watching the members go to work on it and knock it down quickly.

The damage done by this fire was intense. Thanks! I’ve been shooting all my video on an iPhone 12 Pro Max 🫣 I actually have a Sony a6500 that I love and use for nature photography family pictures, etc., but chasing fires around the city with a kid on a bike, it’s so much easier to just grab the phone. I’ve been really impressed by the stabilization on the iPhone!
Hmm, maybe that's because we have 10 story buildings everywhere. In all Burroughs, in other places like Europe, for example, they have smaller buildings and it's not so common for huge buildings. The same could be said for the UK.
@@GamingWithLenox That’s nonsense. Every city in the UK, and across Europe, has tall buildings. Even in rural places the fire appliances in the US are huge.
Brush fire's are terrible in hot, and cooler area's. They can require over 60,000 gallons of water. Which can't be held in a small MAN firetruck. It's also all up to the departments prefance. If the FDNY wanted to switch to Mercedes or MAN they can. Futhermore, what I meant by tall buildings, I meant thousands of feet high. Our tiller's are 100 footer's. Some Tower Ladder's are 95 some are 75, it depends on the area of how big and how many are needed. For example, Staten Island has all of our BFU's (Brush Fire Unit's). Queens has more Foam Tender's than any boro. It really just depends on the area, and the preferences of the department.@@CymruEmergencyResponder
Wow great video! Heroes right there.
Thanks! They sure are

As a fire buff, this is a pretty damn good video! You got units rolling in, good smoke footage, and the guys working. 9.5/10.

Hello beautiful 😍
I'm joining my local volunteer fire department can't wait!
Make sure you train, every opportunity you get. Find the most grumpy veteran you can and run drills with him or her.

At 16:25, we see two different types of hydrant. What is the difference, and why are the two types so close together?
one of them are FDC
Only one is a hydrant
The red one is a connection to the building to supply standpipes and sprinklers from an engine
I was just looking to see exactly what you're referring to, and I see @virgilhilts3924 answered it!
One is a hydrant and other is connected to building ie standpipe

What I think you can rephrase your comment to is "US fire appliances are huge!"
I love the fdny but why is the guy on the ladder with no helmet on & not using his scba if he needs to go in...he's basically useless right there
Nice video but in the durire please refrain from the female talking in the back ground. No clue what she is talking about.
