I use Flatout inside my tubes, they have completely prevented 4 potential flats, instantly sealing holes from nails and screws that were pulled out of my tire. all it took was to spin the tire so the tube would seal. However I also use a much thicker heavy duty tube than what comes standard on most fat tire bikes, with a 3.5 mm thick at the base. Bakou Heavy duty 26 X 4 Military Grade for those wondering, can be found on amazon but I'm not posting a link Edit: also use Mr Tuffy liners, but sone nails are too sharp for even the best liners to prevent making it through. still going strong after 7 months after upgrading the tubes and putting in FlatOut 4 flats prevented with minimal air loss.

I say add tire silent, witch one to get ? Don't know try them all find out on your own, good to get ideas but it's always good to try new ideas and see if they work. The silent doesn't work till you sandwich it between two materials, I have slime in my bike tube's and it works fine no flats.

I don't use Tanus any more. I used to but they failed too with a roofing nail. It also added weight to my bike and balance was off and made tire wobble at high speeds. I bought Moped tires made out of the same materials car tires are made from and added Flat Out for the small hole you get it will plug it and when I get home from rides I always check tires for any sign of trouble including leaking liquid. The tires I have now last long time and more puncture resistant because they are made from same material as car tires but for Mopeds. They will fit but are not easy going on or off. Bike tires are made with lower quality rubber and chemicals etc. It is not because they can't make same material tires for bike or e bike but because it adds cost to it. But YOU can buy them if you don't mind the extra cost. E bike and reg bike makers will not give you really good high quality tires period. It would raise cost of bike or take from profits. So I like your videos and channel though and I rarely make comments like this but I only speak from my own experience. Thank You for the videos. Better than mine. I am just a novice with YT but hey I am also not Monitized and don't want to be. I just like to share. Peace.

Love the look of the Wallke look great in white. Flat out I was immediately putting it in my tires. But I have stopped since my wobble problems I carry a patch kit with all my bikes . I’ll just pull over and fix the tube. Thanks for the video, I was out with the trike the other day pretty far away from the house and I realized I didn’t have my trike mount on my car and I don’t think my wife could put it on.

Good information, I personally use flat out and I buy only Good tires, each to their own

Great Video Jerry! I usually just put flatout in my tires right away! It's kinda remote in places here so it gives me some hope of making it home even if it's false hope lol. I also carry my portable air pump too if I go very far out. Problem here is you get far out of town and there may be no cell signal.

They are meant just to be temporary to get you home , I personally carry a spare tube just in case.

You get it all running thru the towpath. Even snakes. But lots of crunchy things you run over. Some pretty loud. I’ve often thought crap did I just get shot at or what?

I think we came to the same conclusions. I bought a bottle of Slime a while back, so when I need it I'll use it. but I've since heard that Flat-Out is better, so if/when I run out of Slime I'll get that next time.
In the meantime I've only had one flat in nearly 1,500 miles riding, and that was before I changed to "stab-proof" tires.
I carry the Slime, a valve removing tool and an electronic pump with me in my pannier bags when riding, so I can fix a puncture on the go.
And yes, either product is not a permanent fix, so eventually that whole tube will need to be replaced, or a proper patch put on. Not impossible, more of a pain on the back wheel and with a hub motor, but not impossible.

I tend to disagree with your notion that it’s only a patch. I had a 3/8 inch bolt shank puncture my tire that was at least nine months ago. The only mistake I made was I pulled the bolt out with it being at the top of the rotation.. I had to air the tire back up, but I have not had to do anything but add a little air now and then nothing more than I do with the other tire. flat out with Kevlar is the only product that I will use. And it goes in immediately. It takes all of the concern about getting a flat tire out of the equation.
