If anyone is confused, you tighten (clockwise) and loosen (counterclockwise) relative to the spoke. It feels backwards when you first do it, so just keep that orientation (relative to the spoke itself, not the rim) in mind
I'm lucky that I worked in a bike shop as a teenager and when he closed he gave me a bunch of random tools and I have the original Park Tool rim alignment tool and spoke wrench.... I've been truing rims for a long time so this is something I actually like to do. 😁👍 Edit: I think my favorite hack is how I learned how to align rims w/ a door stop but it doesn't really work now because of disc brakes or built-in chain tensioners.... Also because not a lot of people ride brakes in BMX anymore. 😅 lol
After watching a few more videos I realize now I massively screwed up trying to change my rear tube and tighten my spokes. Pretty sure I also bent my brake disc... ugh. Can you do the full rim spoke re-lacing video? I think I need to start fresh.
Genius hack, all of my spokes were loose on my BPM F35 fat tire Bike! I did all spokes 1 full turn, and my sounds went away BUT I moved the Rim/tire to the left predominantly and Now it rubs on the side of the inner Frame! Well, your hack (loosening every spoke about 3/4s of a turn, moved the Tire Back what seems to be centered Now! Thank you for your Video.
My G Force T42 was fine until I decided to upgrade the back tire. I'm definately rubbing somewhere. I doubt it's a loose spoke thing. I wasn't able to locate video about proper derailer guard placement..and wondered if I screwed that down less than perfectly. Guard is not rubbing now, but doesn't appear to be in the right place either. Any hacks for fixin my issue? When I tightened it down tight it interfered with derailed…bummer G Force so hard to get info from.
I would have liked to see the wheel under power off the ground to see if the bike wobbles from tire imbalance. I am having issues with tires from amazon and a 26x4 tires. My ebike is kind of fast 40phh and the tires I have been mounting make the bike shake terribly with a wheel off the ground test. Wheel is new it has less than 1/16 hop by the rim seam and minimal side to side. Cheap tires are a nightmare. Trying to balance with spoke weights but getting erratic results with the geared hub.
I've tried that egst I do is pluck the spoke and listen to the note just like a harp tighten spoke draduly to get same sound and I'm good to go it does work. You never go around all the wheel if its buckleld where zip ties are if its touching tie fell that spoke if tight slacken of a tight spoke opersit shoud work on three spikes where bukeld person not one
If you're going to create content on ebikes and your going to make it instructional & educational you're going far, keep up the great content brother and i see you have a company that is trying to bank on your sales skill🫡 too much ebike review crap on u tube these days...social media gold rush..lol🍷
Thank you so much for making this video. My ar is having the same dam issue, and it has been annoying the sh1t out of me!! I don't understand why they will ship a bike out like that...
Your spoke-wrench fits all sizes, but is often out of very soft steel, and its interacting surface with the nipples is very small, so, I threw it away. I got one of those single-size ones, look like a lock-key with a blunt, short key-blade, is high-quality, hardened (there´s 10 times less steel on this one, griff is plastic, so they can afford to build it out of high quality hardened steel for the same price of 3-4$), works like a charm...
This video was extremely helpful!! Thanks Fede!!🤘🏾⚡️🤘🏾
Thanks for being clear and concise!!😊😊

This information is golden! Thank you for the new knowledge.
