There are badges in live 19 that will allow you to hit over good contested shots.. 1 is late to the party & late release... You put those 2 together on gold & you will never miss contested shots. Now defensively... Your best bet is to alternate between L1 which is on ball defense & L2 which is to defend your match up... I have the same build he has & also a defensive build that you have.
They got a badge called open 3,. late to the party, quick release,. .... if he's a wing shooter or a back court shooter you got to be on them at all times no letting up frfr

Look like buddy was a Wing Shooter. Honestly that's one of the best builds in the game. With the KD Icon Wing Shooters are really hard to defend against. Don't matter how good of a defense you play, most of the time they hit contested shots. Especially with the right traits on Gold. And he was doing that step back cheese too, so there isn't that much you can do. It's tough.
