the indoor habitat is the best in the world for elephant but I find the exterior habitats just visually appealing, considering the amount of land around the elephant habitat I would of easily have made a huge pasture exhibit that can cut of or has other texture for the elephants to explore and roam rather then the sand. A big field with rolling hills huge mud hole along with trees and perhaps other animals to interact with.

There's not any grass areas in the pens. Why so much sand and rocks. Elephants live in grass plains as well.
