It looks like our government was in greater peril from Trump’s January 6 resurrection than we had previously realized -- that there could have been support from within the Pentagon. The undisputed three hour delay for the Pentagon to authorize the dispatch of 155 ready troops to the Capitol is all we need to know to appoint an Independent 1/6 Commission.
you clearly don't understand what happened. the problem is people thought trump might tried to use the military to hold on to power on 6th, so there was tight control over the military so much to the extent that when the guards were needed at the capitol it was impossible to get authorization.
@@roseniaanthony1432 no it was that trump knew that he would be blocked from using the military to form his dictatorship so trump-knowing that the capital would be stormed-decided to obstain from sending any troops. Because if he had sent troops they wouldn’t support him. In other words, Trump didn’t send troops because they were his troops to be sent. The pentagon had no idea that the mob of 500 would be induced to storm the capital.
Well the only thing I agree with you is that we need a resurrection as you said it, to have more God in this country the rest is Joe’s word salad and in that aspect you are well represented.
In this day and age the Capitol police should have 30 min. boots on the ground pre-approved assistance by Rapid Response from the military at the drop of a dime. No more of this nonsense.
What good are all those pretty pins on his chest if he doesn’t have the authority to order a couple hundred men to stand guard at the Capitol like security at a Frozen premier........
Once again, nobody in power taking control, responsibility when it mattered. Then deny, deny, deny, after. Our elected officials wanted this to happen, right Nancy??!!
pentagon refused to give President Trump Army men on that day , I was on their website and saw what they typed , they could not afford to have them there!!!!!!1
I don't need proof. It's a ridiculous lie. The President has the sole authority to mobilize the military in an emergency. That's why we still elect Presidents. So that they can make decisions on the fly, in securing our nation from all threats, foreign, and domestic. Your argument falls flat.
The president only authorized it. It was now in the Sergeant of Arms hands. Separation of powers. The mayor was given national guards but was limited by Sergeant of Arms Irving. It was just a poor decision not to have guards there from the start. As you can see, when they were finally given permission to go on capital grounds. It still took three more hours. Someone really dropped the ball on this one, and it wasn't Trump. The fact that they blame him makes me think they are the guilty ones.
@YoYo-gt5iq The guards should have been there in the beginning. When they were finally given permission it still took them 3 hours. Trump did authorized the guards and that was his lane in the separation of powers. They were already in D,C playing traffic cops for the mayor. They even said they held back for optics. Nothing about Trump when they are under oath. You only hear the Trump narrative on TV.

CONGRESSIONAL TERM LIMITS NOW
Why does everyone in this kind of position never give straight answers. The English language is pretty easy to understand.
I hope they don't do another 9/11 security bill.
Their gonna ride this crap out so we all forget about all the real problems for the next 4yrs
Sounds familiar....
We need Justice.

Gus Fring moved up!
There should have been some court marshals in order here for failure to take action against the security of the US Capitol.
Is the Pentagon the queen bee or is it the equivalent of the Vatican?
THAT'S THE FACTS JACK
I think The Capital Police did a great Job It was only a couple of hours later and the Senate and Congress resumed The Business as intended .
It was 6 hours later and almost 4 before reinforcements arrived. Not an acceptable response time! Sheer luck that no Congress people were killed
They left only when Trump told them to leave, thereby proving they were there to do his bidding.
@@billwalsh388 I would not Give Trump that much Credit he is only a man.
@@Drainman He summoned them, motivated and unleashed them.
@@dennishickey7194 I still think the Capital Police did a great Job as those who broke in are still in jail.So case closed .
Gee, I wonder why Trump's newly-installed Pentagon brass prevented reinforcements at the Capitol?
This guy is a liar.
It is a dereliction of duty for a President to ignore threats to our Republic, and do nothing.

Voter ID would pretty much solve all this voter doubt. Mexico does it.
Typical beaurocratic waffle, not me i needed someone else to approve it and they needed etc..
Trump offered 10k national guard troops. He was turned down.
Reports from Trump's own ppl said he was too busy watching it on TV.
"Let's go," he said, "I'll be there." Then he went home to watch TV.
Trump did order for national guards troops. Pelosi orchestrated everything
You are LYING! Trump was WATCHING his TERRORISTS, NAZIS,KKK, etc….. RACISTS & TRAITORS … , at The W H . He ORDERED the CRIMINAL ATTACK
