Passed a few Microsoft exams myself. Personally I'd really urge anyone to take a (long) practice test. Before I finally passed my first exam I stuck to theory and hands-on experience, and even though I got close to passing twice, it just wasn't enough to pass. At that point I started considering taking practice tests (which contain a lot more questions than the official exam), and after having done so I was finally able to pass my first Microsoft exam and a few more of them afterwards throughout the last couple of years. The practice exam doesn't have to be the one from Microsoft itself, I personally obtain practice tests from Wiley. They contains hundreds of questions and answers for each certification, and the content is very similar to what you'll get on the official Microsoft exam. Personally I always fully read one of the official course books, then do a bit of hands-on practice to get the feeling of it (not too much either because it's simply not realistic to be able to get plenty of hands-on experience within a short time span) and then finish it off by taking the practice test until I feel confident enough to pass the official exam. Worked every time so far.
Hi Andy! Thank you for making this video! Very helpful and informative. I’m thinking about taking this route in my career and become a share point administrator maybe. All the best!
Hi that was a great video I was feeling quite anxious about my upcoming Microsoft fundamentals training but after watching this and the valuable information about where to find help and learning materials I feel so much better I can't thank you enough 😁
Hi Ian you are very welcome and thank you for your kind comments. I’m delighted that you enjoyed my video. The very best of luck with your exams and please let me know how you get on. Good luck!👍😀
Hi Andy.. Microsoft launches a spring & automn challenges with a learning path, seminars and free certificates.. do you know a way to get notified when such challenges are launched... Thank you for the great videos
Thanks very much for your kind comment. Yes Microsoft do offer these regional events but they are generally managed by the different region subs. Keep studying and all the best.
Hi Andy, Great Video :) Thank you so much for your efforts and valuable videos. Sir, I request you to please create a few videos on Exchange PowerShell on the below topics. I will be very thankful to you. 1) Inactive mailbox recovery via PowerShell. 2) Recovery of Hard Deleted emails via PowerShell. 3) How to restore the permanently deleted user account after 30 days from the Microsoft library via PowerShell.
I'm so thrilled to have found your channel! The content is perfect for my goals. I have experience with database development in MS Access and I am just learning SharePoint and 365 as a whole. I'm very excited about learning SharePoint. Now that it is affordable, I am working with an IT professional and long time friend to launch a business servicing small businesses. I am curious if you have any suggestions for what type of certification I should start with. Best of luck to you and thank you for your content!
Hi Stacey thank you for your lovely comments regarding my site I’m delighted to welcome you on-board. In terms of the most cost-effective way of learning SharePoint I would recommend visiting the Microsoft Learning site and browsing for SharePoint training. They have some great free resources, loads of videos and training materials for both developer and IT pro. Other than that I also have a number of different videos relating to SharePoint. In terms of certification I would perhaps consider doing either something along the line of teams or Microsoft 365. Both of these certification is also include SharePoint but also give you access to a number of other Microsoft resources as well. Thanks again and all the very best, Andy.
My current roles are to manage M365 accounts, tenants, assigning E3,E5 license, DL’s, groups, permissions and policies. I would like to take the MS-102 Microsoft exam. Are there any pre-requests or exams that are required before I take the MS-102?
Hi Andy, As you mentioned in the video, we can create multiple Outlook accounts for a trial subscriptions. But this only works for the trial of M365, but for Azure, we need to enter the credit card details for a trial subscription of one month. If we will create a new ID we need to enter the new credit card details. Is it correct? In Azure, we can use the credit card only once, next time with the new ID we need a new credit card.
You are correct for every new azure subscription trial you need a separate credit card plus email address. However, for Microsoft 365 trials you only need an email address.

For multiple choice exams, if I get 2 choices right but choose an incorrect option as well, will I still receive 2 points?
No you will get 1 point.
@@AndyMaloneMVP gotcha
So each incorrect choice will deduct 1 point?
