    In the video, I'll show you how I made a set of connecting rods out of aluminum. From the main parts and how they are attached to the clamps that get assembly around the crankshaft.
    You'll witness the cutting process as well as some play I do with the final product.

    Your tool clamping set up sounds interesting. Are you doing anything unusual from stock?

      What you are hearing in the video is a Torque-Rite pneumatic tool changer. They are a quick push button system. They are the best system I have found so far for knee/bed mills.

    Can you touch off Z use my the quill and the machine use the Z axis to use that for machining with the quill retracted?

      Yes thats one of the benefits of the moving head on the TRAK bed mills. The quill scale is compensating the tool offset. That way you can cut your parts in 3 axis mode with the quill fully retracted giving you maximum rigidity and precision.
