    I’m a nurse, and I give 110% to my job, I work with the elderly, in hospice, dementia, and all end stage diseases. Families and patients expression of gratitude makes it worth it. My supervisors and coworkers expression of gratitude makes it easier to show up everyday. I just returned to work after 2 weeks off, one patient was quite ill, his wife was on the phone with their daughter, and the first thing she said, ‘Jamie’s back’ with the biggest smile and confidence. It made my heart happy. Them my confused ill patient expressed his gratitude of his family, which he included me in. Being gone for 2 weeks makes me understand how much they really appreciate me. I did have to promise to go thru vacation pictures on a different night. Everyone understood.
    Great post here. It resonates with me in a time of depression (I believe a chemical depression bc I do not have any reason to be depressed) and I’m working on creating a different thought pattern. Oddly enough this came up while I searched something completely different. Lol

      I strongly believe you can. There is always something to be thankful for. regardless how small it is. Waking up, sunset/sunrise, food everyday etc. I have no clue what you're going through but, even if life treats you bad, dont blame it on life. Even if everything around you is misery, try to have peace within you.
      Your thoughts are powerful. What you think translates to how you feel.
      Do you feel bad? You're thinking bad. Do you feel sad and hopeless? You're thinking sad and hopeless.
      I am not saying that you're solely responsible for all your bad feelings. Of course not, bad things happen to us.
      But, you can change those feelings when they come up.

    I love you bro, but the first thing you've said that makes no sense it's inverted it goes against the laws of polarity it might be nice to feel gratitude from someone that's good you must have gratitude for all in your life if you're trying to be happy it's a very easy formula for happiness , so the first time I disagree with you, it's always nice to be acknowledged and those feelings do help when they're positive but if you don't have gratitude, and you're waiting for other people to give you gratitude, I lost Journey much love,Aris 😊

    Dr Huber man, with respect this is kinda distracting. There is a total difference between the two actions and outcomes.
    A gratitude PRACTICE is being grateful.
    Being able to ACCEPT, or being thanked is great, too, but it's not the same gratitude practice.
    BOTH need to be practiced. Positive shift, yes, but not the same....affect/mindset? Also, one is not more powerful than the other, my opinion, just different...function? Get those new psychologists out of the room. 😂

    Wow, this is certainly very selfish and anti-Gospel. I know he's fairly new to the faith, and speaking purely from the perspective of measurable neurotransmitter activity in the brain. But as one who is sealed, he must know the truth: that serving others and giving thanks to God in all things is the way to peace and joy, and that satisfying the ways of the flesh is only a temporary pleasure that comes with terrible repercussions.
    I certainly respect his willingness to share knowledge. God Bless all. To those who are struggling in life: take my testimony and Huberman's testimony as strong points of consideration in your intellectual endeavor towards truth.

    It’s important to be grateful to rewire your brain. Dr. Joe Dispenza. I believe receiving gratitude may help that process as well. But I think feeling gratitude is most powerful. I have learned outside sources should not have any influence on our happiness or unhappiness. Giving and service is the true feeling of gratitude. Doesn’t it feel better to give a gift then receive?

  • @ke8739
    @ke8739 8 месяцев назад

    I think that gratitude is a bit misleading in this context, I'm not sure we can equate this with a gratitude practice as in "looking for I could be thankful for".

    "We now know with certainty..." "Turns out..."
    You see, as a logical thinker, I ignore what you say after these, and instead await the revelation of how we know, how it turns out. That's what matters, not a narration of claims without a basis for them. Too bad it wasn't included in this short, makes it rather ineffective.
