Jason have a very supportive father. When I was young all my parent wants me to do was study hard and get a government job, anything else was a waste of time. I don't blame them for that as i know they love me very much and wanted for what the deemed was the best path, a respectable person with stable income. If my kids showed interest into something other than studying, I'm going to be there and support them, 100%

For example, Jason Richardson, in his song, Tendinitis, there is a part in which he alternate picks at 17 notes per second and that's not even his top speed. For Herman Li, most of DragonForce songs are at 200 bpm and the type of notes they play during the solos are 16th note or sometimes 16th note triplets and in the song called The Game, Herman alternate picks at 15 notes per second using 16th notes at 236 bpm. But then again, speed doesn't really matter that much. Because melody>speed. In music, fast playing is the musical equivalent of showing off how big your dick is. Not really important and no one really cares. And while fast playing is a good tool to have in your musical inventory, it's only important in the context of the song you're playing. And while Slash is not really that fast, what he can do though is write really memorable melodies.
