Rose and dark chocolate are the only notes I get from Noir De Noir. A very romantic fragrance, perfect for valentine's evening and other intimate nights. Definitely an evening fragrance leaning towards a masculine scent even with the rose. Grest scent but not very versitile unless you ar in valentines day mode all the time.
I went to Nordstroms last night and smelled tobacco vanille and was introduced to this particular fragrance and fell in love immediately. This will be my next purchase
I love noir de noir. It's just an enchanting, alluring, romantic yet sweet frag. I completely agree with you about the patch in this frag. It definitely holds it's own in this blend but partners very well with the rose and oud. But the oud in this is not loud and robust, it's definitely there but it's not the dominant note. As a guy, I LOVE the opening and the dry down of NDN! It doesn't fill up the room, which is fine, because the smell is very romantic, more for a date type of fragrance; however, it doesn't last long, at least not on my skin, did better on my clothes :)

Steven I'm loving this stuff! I've been testing it for a few weeks now and absolutely adore it! From open to dry down it is amazing. It's funny when I wear this I get the most interesting reactions. Especially from women they seem to get a little closer and I end up giving out more hugs than I can count. As far as solicited and unsolicited compliments I have received a few of both. I think it really hypnotizes those blessed enough to be in it's vicinity. As far as words used to describe the scent from others I've gotten that I smell "yummy" and a "French whore" haha! I've even been told that they would "take me home" if they weren't already married lol. Love this juice!
I just tested my sample and here it goes. Rose on the opening with very strong rose in the middle followed with an over baring rose on the dry down. Men, you must sample this first because im getting a complete womens perfume here. Thats just my opinion and we all have one. I love Tom Ford but this will not make the collection.
Fantastic review once again. Just returned from HK and my buddy purchased the regular Noir. He wore it at my New Years party last night and it was amazing and lasted all night with perfect projection. The other stand out was my wife's Wicked Wahine Magnolia! 4 sprays and lasted 12 hrs and beautiful . I wore my first sample of Back to black, very nice , long lasting but sat close to my skin, no comments, nothing( Would love someone's I review TF Noir. Happy new year and thanks .

Ive just recently discovered Noir de Noir. Wearing it now. I was layering L'Instant de Guerlain with MMM On a Date to get a Wine & Roses & Chocolate "Date Night" scent. But Im thinking that Noir de Noir might be an even better layering partner for On a Date. Noir de Noir is better than a 7.6/10 for me. Id give it a 9.6/10. P.S....Noir de Noir is NOT feminine. Unisex with a possible slight masculine lean.
Expertly broken down bro. Interesting idea about how the name is derived. NdN is a beauty but I do find the opening a bit harsh. Not sure I need a bottle after my decant runs out but I wouldn't mind getting a half full one so I can add the the bottle to the collection!
This is very nice, smells almost identical to Rose d'Arabie from the Armani Prive line, a rose oud mix, though The rose note is turned down a bit in Noir compared with Rose d'Arabie which makes it slightly more masculine, both are very unique, great fragrances .

Tom Ford should reveal who made this perfume. In my opinion it's one of the best compositions ever made and ten years later we still don't know who's responsible for it.
For sure some persian/middle eastern guy. Its literally a persian perfume inside a tom ford bottle lol. Just go to a persian country and go to the market, youll smell the perfume everywhere worn by most Men
I don't know why but this one projects more than A*Men on me. I went to the Tom Ford stand in Neiman Marcus to get samples of tobacco vanille and Tuscan leather. While I was waiting I sprayed tobacco vanille and Tuscan leather on my left arm and noir de noir on my right arm. I walked around for 20 mins then got in the car and the entire car was filled with Noir de Noir. You couldn't even smell tobacco vanille or Tuscan leather mixed in. Noir de Noir just dominated the other two scents.this is by far the best performing Tom ford that I have tried. I really wish I could get this performance out of Tuscan leather.

I love the idea behind the private blend line. However, for me, most of them come off as "perfumy" like Plum Japonais, and NdN. I do passionately love Tobacco Vanille, it is just a stunning fragrance and very complex. It is one of my top 5 favorite frags in the world. One other Private blend fragrance I do like is Oud Wood, yet it is not entirely a "love". If you like Roses, you will certainly love this fragrance, that is for sure. -HP

Please go for memoir man if you want to have the best amouage and go for oud wood if you want to have the best one from tomford. Tried and tested. Noir de noir a unisex fragrance leaning towards fem

I'm seriously considering a blind buy on this based on reviews and notes- I'm totally crazy about Kilian Rose Oud, which smells AMAZING on ME, but it's getting soooo hard to find- does anyone know how similar Noir de Noir is to the Kilian Rose Oud?
I really hated it when I first smelled it, a little too powdery for my taste. However, it's kind of grown on me. Same way that TL was for me. A lot of Tom Fords frags are really out there. It's good but not for everyone.

Hmmm. I would say they're only similar in terms of the patchouli note. Otherwise, More Than Words focuses more on the sweet resins whereas this one has more of a chocolate vibe.

Back to Black focuses a lot more on the note of honey. It's a bit powdery and very sweet. It's very different from Noir de Noir!

One other Private blend fragrance I do like is Oud Wood, yet it is not entirely a "love".
If you like Roses, you will certainly love this fragrance, that is for sure.

Please go for memoir man if you want to have the best amouage and go for oud wood if you want to have the best one from tomford. Tried and tested. Noir de noir a unisex fragrance leaning towards fem

@@RemixRampage Nick you can blind buy oud wood and memoir man as i feel my taste is a bit universal.you will not be disappointed. Noir de noir is not for all scent.
I think your right on the meaning of the name. Tom Ford says this is yin meets yang. So that would be right for black meets white.

I'm seriously considering a blind buy on this based on reviews and notes- I'm totally crazy about Kilian Rose Oud, which smells AMAZING on ME, but it's getting soooo hard to find- does anyone know how similar Noir de Noir is to the Kilian Rose Oud?
I really hated it when I first smelled it, a little too powdery for my taste. However, it's kind of grown on me. Same way that TL was for me. A lot of Tom Fords frags are really out there. It's good but not for everyone.

Hmmm. I would say they're only similar in terms of the patchouli note. Otherwise, More Than Words focuses more on the sweet resins whereas this one has more of a chocolate vibe.
