This looks so easy that even I would struggle to fuck it up! Looking at the price this is well worth it to save yourself a 5 hour brew day and clean up
please could you tell me if Gritche Brewing that makes this wort acidify their sparge water? I know a lot of UK breweries don't have the capability to do that resulting in woody tannins in the wort. E.g. Sureshot, Polly's, Overtone, Fyne Ales. Thanks.
If I wanted to ferment to 12.5 Litres (I pressure ferment in a Williams Warn 12.5L fermenter). I suppose I could use 10L (half the kit) and then add a little DME to increase the SG back?
Got my kit, going try try the Verdant yeast and Spectrum. MM, how much spectrum was added and when? I am looking for your dosing of grams per Litre of wort ratio? Thanks,
Hey, we added the Spectrum at the end of fermentation and used apx 0.33g/p/l, roughly a third of the packet. It could easily have gone higher but if you choose to use the whole pouch then you are at the maximum dose p/lt of spectrum which doesn't showcase the best end result.
Thanks, I am splitting the wort in to two different batches, Once opened through the tap how long will it last before I need to think about using it? Thanks in advance.
You don’t need the extra yeast or hops, that’s your choice. As a brewer most folk have these on hand anyway -for cost just wait until you have other stuff to order - free carriage over £100 then it is £38 for 40 pints. £1.16 per pint, how is this pricy? This isn’t an extract kit mate….no homebrew tang here.
@@DrunkDelilahBrewery pricey for me. I brew kits. I think this is aimed at the kit users. I don’t have bits of hops hanging around. Fir that money I can buy anything up to 4 kits. Probably Two decent kits. The kit twang you talk about will probably occur on the cheaper £10 kits. But the expensive £20 kits are remarkably good. They need a decent amount of time to condition. I think as darmiex alluded to the cost of what was shown in the video £60 all in would prohibit many people. It’s all about the individual. It’s out of my range. But if you think it’s ok go for it and enjoy.
@@mikebeswick3420 I brew all grain. I also brew various kits, I am not a snob in that respect. These are something new - this is all grain minus the 5 hours of work and RO water. Now, it will never replace it [all grain] for me as I do enjoy the brewing process, however - my response was to it being costly....for me it isn't. Minus the carriage and extras which aren't required - when you factor in the 5 hours brew day - if you can produce an ALL GRAIN quality beer then it is a no brainer. Each to their own. I will let you know how I get on.
@@mikebeswick3420 Yes, but you do not need the extra's. Heck you can make a decent £20 kit cost £60 if you add a decent wet yeast and some quality hops (including carriage) and you still won't come close to a fresh wort or all grain kit. I have done them all....I can contest to that.
Why not shipping outside EU ? what the hell problem with European shops i don't get it . did you guys ever heard of DHL ? if the customer want pay for shipping cost why not just call DHL to pickup and call it a day !
Hello. We could possibly ship to many locations. Sometimes there are regulations on what can be imported and sugary liquid often fall into this bracket.
Crikey. Chill out pal. Ever considered that it's simply not worth the hassle for the retailer? Maybe you just want to jump on a plane and come over here and get one for yourself?
@@richardwilkinson77 Not to mention the shipping of 20 litres of liquid is also going to be insanely expensive. A Ryanair return flight might be cheaper than the delivery :)

Hey Buddy, will get one sent out to you, give it a whirl;)
@@themaltmiller8438 absolutely mega! I’ll have a free fermenter in a few days, so it’s perfect timing!
Just taken delivery of mine - will pitch it tomorrow.
This looks amazing! Gonna give it a go and share with the norwich brewrs
They are great, we’ve done a few now with different yeast and dry hops. So many combinations and incredibly simple to brew!
Looks great. If you ever get thier stout in as a fresh wort kit please hit me up as I'd love to try it
Would like to brew that sometime 👍

Not sure buddy, might be worth reaching out to them directly. They are very helpful!
If I wanted to brew smaller batches could I pour off some wort and store the remaining wort to use later?
Absolutely. The taps on the bags are of a sterile design and they don’t let air in. Thanks, I hadn’t thought of that idea 👍

@@andrewlittler5887 Yes, you can do exactly that. These Fresh Wort Kits are extremely versatile
Just ordered one to try along with some additions as per the video. 😊
Looks nice. Bit pricey for me. £45 with delivery. Nice concept though.

Kit + Citra Hops delivered to my address (mainland) was £75 Inc vat. I think £20+ for delivery is huge disincentive. A real shame.
Hey, can you drop us an email to hello@themaltmiller.co.uk so we can see if there are alternative methods for you?
Does it get away from that homebrew "twang?
