Just finished the video and saw that you answered my question on connecting wigwags. Thank you so much. IG had a character limit on the question so I apologize for the lack of specifics. My big issue when I was connecting my wigwags was that the walls were a little thin and uneven to begin with. I have been practicing more since asking and have been able to correct a few issues. Wall thickness, bigger openings at connection points, and more radiant heat has helped a lot along with more reps. Thanks again! 🤘

Yo, maybe this can help: I haven't tried this personally, but I have heard some frax, or kevlar blanket (the white fluffy fiberglass like stuff) inside of a crockpot will work well for smaller pieces ala marbles and hand pipes as long as your thickness is on point and even. I wouldn't reuse the crock pot for food after but hey, mom's can get a new one lol.. Good luck!

Such a cool piece, thanks for continuing to share all the knowledge. Hopefully some day I’ll have the opportunity to take an in person class. I’m three years in, and never would have gotten my studio up and running without these videos. The endless hours spent with you, Kevin and Carlos in the first seasons gave me the foundation to walk away from a dead end accounting gig. Camera work is always on point, and really helps to see what’s going on in the flame. I’m starting prep work for Christmas ornaments and am going to use this as inspiration to sleeve some colors for that. Thank you for all you do for the community Dustin, you have been a huge blessing in my life!

This is awesome, I’ve been waiting for this video, this style Sherlock. Awesome to see his style. I order pipes for my shop from my fellow glass blowers and it’s cool to see my customers pick my pipes out from the rest, everyone has there own style. I dig that in glass. Glass is such an awesome thing. I’ve never been an artist and it’s weird to call myself that now but I do express myself through my work. Sick vid boys I appreciate it!

I don't know why, but I got a new idea from this video. I'm going to make a graphite reamer that is very wide, but not deep. Then I will attach it to a marver for implosion work. I feel like imploding retticellos (not sure if I spelled that right but whatever) would make for some awesome inverted pieces for wig-wags.

A few months ago me and my buddy thought maybe we could open a headshop, so we started on that adventure. Along the way, I discovered lampworking. Turns out, I live a short drive from Carlisle here in NJ. And so I bought a GTT Mirage, an exhaust from Griffin Glass and a kiln. I built a table and this weekend should have the exhaust hooked up, the torch hooked up to my tanks and I'll start on the 50lbs of glass I bought. The adventure and what I've learned already has been so cool and I cannot wait to really get going. I'm taking my second class with Carlisle in a week. Maybe sooner than later I'll be out in Cali doing a collab and picking a comment to give away our gear. Love your videos dude thanks so much

Wow man. This was my favorite video yet. Very good info and such a joy to watch. I'm doing glass fulltime right now. Been falling short a bit financially. And hoping to get an oxygen system soon. But I'm very grateful just to be able to work with glass like you always say. I really admire your own personal growth as a teacher and artist. My favorite things to make are Dichro images and opals for funkadelic Little sculpture projects and pipes. Bubblers . Sherlock bubblers . . Connections are addicting and such a joy when you can get them clean and even.

I just wanted to say in response to LED's question about what our favorite part of the process is..
In my humble perspective, I really enjoy watching how different artists will often come to the same techniques or finished product by very different methods. It seems as though there are more than a few different ways to skin a cat as the saying goes, and getting different artists perspectives on how they reach their end goal through different processes is very enlightening and inspiring!
I also have to say I truly enjoy the level of creativity coming from this channel and always have, it's never been about one thing, glass is so multifaceted and prismatic, there are infinite ways to express yourself through this medium and it's fantastic to watch you push the boundaries often Dustin.
I always appreciate the videos and I think you're doing amazing this season without Kevin, he is missed and I wish him the best, but your family and you are killing it Mr. Revere, thank you so much for all the inspiration as always!
    Wholeness and balance!

Stunning piece. As a budding hobby glass worker with poor mans set up, I’m so eager to learn technique. It’s so hard to do with a too small torch and no kiln. I’m in awe of guys like you who create such beautiful works of art and make it look so easy. Maybe with better equipment it is easier, but no torch or kiln can take away the technical skills. You guys inspire guys like me to keep at it and to want to learn the next thing. Thank you. Now what can we do about the cost of equipment and glass? So darn expensive
