A really weird thing happened to me the other day, was watching some Deceive Inc on twitch and the streamer said something like "why am I seeing so many more shotgun reds" and someone in chat was like "well 1stGlitch made a video on it recently", so I guess you can blame me for that 🤣
I started using Shotgun Red thanks to you and I’ve been having lots of fun with it, got at least 4 or 5 wins today (one of them I won by default because two people killed each other when I was just trying to get to the vault) I’m running the Shield and spyglass, 3-2-1. Tried using love bomb but the instant heal is just easier for me to control Definitely gonna stick with Red for a while, I love this because it forces me to play differently
Oh! One of my favorite builds! Even with those same gadgets! Although I am starting to use the shield over the jump pad lately. Especially with the buff to the held shield. Its useful for charging enemies who are out of range. I tend to run "Naughty List" more often than "View to a Kill" but both get value with the shotgun...one lets you rush enemies and one helps you ambush them. Which is extremely deadly with the shot into "animation cancel melee" combo...the buff lets you do 110 damage in (almost) under a second at melee range! To further explain using melee to animation cancel. If you press melee *directly* after firing the shotgun. You can slap almost the same instant the pellets leave the gun. Doing it properly does not slow down the shotgun's fire rate at all, so its a free 15 damage every shot! If you bind melee to mouse wheel scroll up/down you can slap faster than pressing and releasing a button can. Doing this lets you animation cancel so fast that you do not even see the gun shooting before you slap! It almost looks like her hand is throwing bullets! lol Try it out at the practice range!
Gold Keycard only spawns in the vault now. I have found 2 (in different games) so far in this update. I think the best way to obtain it is not look for it and use the nav for pathing; be actively listening for the key chime and looking left and right of your screen while running for the briefcase.

Aye man idk if you realize but the Heartbroken status effect is only applied if enemies break their OWN cover. If you shoot them with your shotgun right after love bomb hits em you’re not getting any value out of it!
Hans was the clear winner this patch if we just look at the numbers. He was always just shy of being good, and now *possibly* a bit overtuned. That said, I think that the large number of Satori players probably makes him feel stronger than he is, so I would hold off judgement before saying he may need a power adjustment. Biggest loser was Larson. The nerf hit him, sure, but there are just too many ways to stop him from running away and healing. Plus the power from shotgun builds and "Tank" builds is going to make him have a harder time with hit and runs. He is still good, but you need to be so much more careful with him. And a bit of a wild card, but I think we may see Ace players getting a better win rate. Her biggest weakness is that she (for obvious balance reasons) can't one shot someone in cover from full health, and it isnt particularly hard to stay at full health. But now with poison making it harder to get healed, I think we may see a shift away from healing perks, which will create more windows of opportunity for third parties, and I think there is room for Ace players to move in and some sneaky wins. She has the best potential for third party kills, IMO. Also, this may just be a small sample size bias or something, but has anyone else felt like the AI acts a bit more... human? I just feel like the past few days feel like I have seen the AI do a lot more weird walking, random running, path changes, random stopping and all that kind of stuff that makes you think its a human. Not sure if its just me, or if maybe the update changed some stuff
@@blanide_ The shotgun has been my favorite and I personally dislike the new spread :/ All the new spread does is help people who were aiming too high with the old heart spread..the old spread could land all its pellets at a further range.

I think it was always underestimated. Most of the matches I won was with the old shotgun. People just did not understand to aim for the lower body with it.
I am not so convinced that the amped up passive is worth it. It only triggers after someone near you dies. Which means you are either already done with the fight, or are busy fighting a third. I feel passives should either help you between fights or during it, not directly after. Getting away from guards is not that difficult. You did not even get use out of it in this video. You didn't in the last video you used it either.
Gold key cards have random spawns. I’ve only seen them in purple rooms, but they might spawn in blues too. It’s just chance if you choose the right purple room to go through. I’ve seen it in the library on fragrant shores, and both the bar and storage room on the underwater map.

Which makes it even more rare to have anyone get it, much less get it yourself. That's such a huge part of the map. Explains why I've had 4 or 5 wins where I just didn't see the gold keycard at all.
Probably? Not sure exactly which combo you're referring to, but I'm assuming it uses his W2 which is impossible to get a good video on due to the bugginess of the weapon right now. But I have got some nice one-shots using W2-E1-P2 in games that never made it to yt

i main red too and the shotgun isn't amazing but the buffs were nice! getting more consistent kills with the updated spread.

shotgun used to be really bad. now it is decent.
