@@ItsTomRichi've subscribed a long time ago...like 2 years ago from pixel 6 photographer's reviews...really think you are underrated looking at the quality of your content...it making me think that the competition is too much in tech world!! for this series... i think pixel made it's this time...lens transition is not as smooth as iphone from my observations.. and yeessssss...i want a pixel in my pocket😉
Awesome review of the Pixel 9 Pro from Mexico! Loved the Lucha Libre bit, what an experience! The Pro mode and raw tips are golden, definitely going to try those out. Fingers crossed for that Pixel giveaway, would love to take those cameras on my next adventure here on Chile!
I just got into photography and I would love to be able to start with such a high-end phone... btw it was a great video and in relation to the video boost, google communicated that it is still in a not very advanced phase... greetings from Spain! 🇪🇸
Amazing video! 👏 Exploring different locations for camera reviews makes a huge difference. Most tech RUclipsrs stick to the same spots, making their videos feel repetitive. Your approach keeps things fresh and unique. Great job, Tom Rich-keep it up! 👍
I started watching your vids from Pixel 6 and I gotta say you are one of the best reviewers of Pixel. I love how you go into the pros and cons of the Pixel when it comes to photography and even im the videography. Been a fan of Pixel since the OG 1 and been wanting one of it but still don't manage to get one. I'm into photography, like you, I also compare how photos of smartphones compare to a camera and having a Pixel would really be an exciting thing to have as an example. 😁
Great review! Loved how detailed you went with the camera breakdown-it’s exactly what I was looking for. You didn’t shy away from pointing out the flaws either, which makes this feel super balanced and honest. Definitely one of the best Pixel 9/9 Pro reviews I’ve seen so far. Keep up the awesome work! Pura vida! 🤘🏼🏄🏽
Thanks for the video! Waiting for my Pixel 9 Pro XL to be delivered. Needed to hear the video boost rant, I now understand that I will be using this feature sparingly.
Great video yet again. I'm glad you listen to feedback and actually take time to respond to any comments possible. (No feedback needed now, I'm just hooked, but you did take my feedback on the shutter sound being too loud in your videos earlier).
This was the video comparison I've been looking for! Really appreciate your insight at the end on the video boost - and like you recommend, I will definitely be disabling the feature until it has a better implementation.
I like your style of reviews, very informative and lots of practical examples, I also like that as a photographer you test the capabilities of mobile cameras to their limits.
The best Pixel 9 pro photo reviews I've seen. Thanks. I preordered the 9 pro in september and still haven't got it. My current phone is from 2019 and reached end of life.
Hi! Your video showed up on my RUclips homepage, and I decided to check it out, even though I've already watched tons of videos about the Pixel and still use an old iPhone 11. I really liked your video. At first, I thought it was just another channel with 1+ million subscribers-it has excellent delivery, a pleasant voice, and great editing. While watching, I didn’t even get distracted or check "how much time is left." I think that’s the highest compliment for a content creator, as I used to be one myself. As for the Pixel, its downsides really bother me. It heats up, its camera zoom and lens switching lag, it uses outdated UFS 3 instead of UFS 4 storage, its processor is weaker than that of the Samsung S24 Ultra, and its buttons are just... annoying.
I'm actually torn between the Pixel 9 Pro, Vivo X200 Pro and Oppo Find X8 Pro, they all offers amazing cameras but Vivo's in photography is unmatched by any other phone, but in video is disappointing Note: I don't mind the gift at all 😂😂
I had the 6 pro and upgraded to the 9 pro xl porcelain. I love the improvements and I also put down my fold 4 to experience the fullness of the device. 7 years though.....I'm kinda skeptical on this T4, but overall loving the experience so far.😊
I subscribed to your channel when i saw your review of mkbhd smartphone camera awards.. always loved doing professional cinematography with my smartphone
Had the 2xl and 6 pro and absolutely loved them, but they had signal problems in my country until this year so i would like a pixel again 😁 i think google should change the algorithm a bit and go a more natural way with the photos.. the hdr look was amazing when they started it with the first few pixels, but i think nowdays people would like a more natural photo over a heavily processed one. I can make a natural photo look processed and anyway i want, but i can t really turn a heavily processed photo into a natural one.. amazing review as always btw 🫡 keep up the good work
"Greetings from India! As a small-town photographer, I am always excited to learn about the latest advancements mobile companies are bringing to their camera technology. Your review was insightful ❤
Really great insight! I feel like I'd love a Pixel 9 but I can't justify an upgrade yet. Gotta save that money and maybe pick up the 10 or 11! Pixel's been lookin' increasingly better lately, might jump ship!!
Excellent review 👌🏽 video does well in a lot of different scenarios but we all wish the video improvement did not need the boost and was done on the spot like the iPhone video processing. The phone overall can be recommended to anyone 10/10
Great video.. I'm considering buying this phone as my next phone from the OnePlus 9 pro..it's time I upgraded to a newer phone and the pixel 9 pro is the main one I'm looking at.
Great review. I was expecting a thorough photography session and Less about videos, but okay. Now when it comes to Google photos auto backup, you can just select the camera folder to be backed up, you don't have to backup the entire phone storage.
It’s a balancing act for me, as when I do photos only lots of people ask about video 😅😅 unfortunately still a bad integration of a weird feature. Video boost is just a very weird process that needs to be smoothed or removed IMO.
@@ItsTomRich If possible, could you please compare the telephoto with that of Chinese phones like Vivo and Honor? (I mean, if you have access to those phones)
Absolutely love the natural look of the Daylight Shots. I have Xperia5V and this a phone which gets close to Google in terms of Natural Look But Google Phones are Great for Photography
I'm interested in shooting with the telephoto camera. I really enjoy shooting content at that focal length, so I appreciate the consistency between lenses. Especially in video 😊
Omg! I didn’t realize you were in Mexico City until you said so. Haha! 😂 Funny thing is, I’m from Mexico City! 😅 I’m a big fan of your RUclips channel, and it’s so exciting to see that you did the Google Pixel 9 camera tests here in my country! ❤
thanks for the review!, I agree on night photography: it looks unnatural, specially the sky. The video looks very good, the combat scene looks great even when zooming in.
I just bought the iPhone 16 Pro Max coming from a Pixel 8 Pro and I love it, the camera quality is really nice especially when RAW images have been edited in lightroom, I find the raw images of the iPhone to be better in my opinion and I like that the iPhone photos seem to look more natural. Until the tensor chip is upgraded a lot more then I don’t see myself going back to pixel, everything on my new iPhone feels instant. I think you would be happy with either camera tbh, both produce some amazing results but aside from camera the iPhone has been a way better phone for me.
The Pixel point and shoot is the main reason why the avg joe loves it. Again their creative demand for photo editing is much less than a photographer so that's why it's widely agreed to be one of the best cameras on the market. Loving my P9P. Honestly, feels like a true flagship experience. I only wish they have raw video options like Apple Log where I can colour grade. 😊
I have watched almost every Pixel video on the internet since Pixel 6, Hoping I would be able to afford to own one someday. Over the years, I have wished the Pixel would improve its video quality to beat the iPhone. If I wanted to own just one phone to do everything I wanted, including video content creation, I would definitely want it to be a Pixel. I am quite impressed with what they have done since Pixel 8. I always love your reviews of these devices as a photographer. they are always more insightful. I wish you would do a review of this device for those who want to use it to create content for social media (Instagram and TikTok). There have previous takes that the pixel video quality drops when uploaded on social media. And owh! It would mean the world to win your giveaway🤩🤩🤩

I agree with the videoboost rant but at the same time. It's soo good. It leaves other smartphone videos in the dust when it's done processing
Great review, straight to the point. Just got my P9P coming from iPhone13 glad to be back on Android.
