Thank you! I live alone- no husband or even a boyfriend to come over and help me with my burner. I followed your advice, and it worked! Makes me miss electric stove tops!!!
Thanks so much for making this video. My right rear burner wasn't igniting and I followed the video. Cleaned all four and now, they all ignite quickly as well. Thanks for the tip and for saving me a repair bill.
Thanks for the quick fix! Was in the middle of cooking and experienced this problem. Typically I just clean it out completely and it works. Knowing exactly where the issue is helped fix it in seconds! I am a bit in a hurry so don't have time to clean it out or take it a part so I just poked the toothpick in there directly and worked immediately.
Holy cow... I wish I had found this video several years ago. Dealt with a clogged burner on my Frigidaire stove for years because I couldn’t figure out how to get the thing off. I wish I had found this video before I finally figured it out on my own. This is exactly what I needed. Thanks for putting it out there for others who need it.
One time I have some oil on the cave and it was not able to light. Even I clean many times, still didnot work out until I saw this video. No dirt at all, but just a small oil block the hole could cause the same issue. Thank you Sam
Thank you for demonstrating how to fix the problem. The toothpick easily broke free clogged debris and I used a 3/16" socket wrench to loosen the bolts from the burner on my Kenmore stove.
This was a great video! I thought I needed a new stove! Followed these directions and boom! Burners working again. I will mention that the first burner after I unclogged the small opening came right on, the second one, no luck. So after repeating the clearing process, I tried it again. Still no luck. So what I did was manually light the burner and let it burn for about 3 minutes. Then I turned it off and tried it again, just using the knob on the stove. Success!!
this tip worked exactly as described! the igniter port was clogged so badly that I couldn't even find the hold at first...an easy fix and saved lots of $
Simple fix... Worked like a charm. I took completely apart and cleaned... Wouldn't still ignite... But never thought about that little hole... That was the problem... Thank you sir
Holy crap. I have one working burner right now and thought I was the only one silly enough to let it get down to one, cthu!!! The kinds of meals I cook, we were eating dinner between 10:30 to11 something at night, lol.
PS: Doing this I only got one of my three broken burners back to working, so that's still better than just one working, lol. Gonna let my husband try to fix the other two. One clicks and has the gassy smell, the other doesn't click at all and I didn't wait for a gassy smell.
@@tonyahandy7170 Same, it worked for the 2 on the right, I've been lighting the left ones manually, but maybe Sam's part 2 will work: ruclips.net/video/-hsXoauqXIc/видео.html&ab_channel=SamSam
Not sure if the person who made this video will ever see this, but I was having the same problem. I was going to call my home warranty people and that would have cost me $75 in a service call. So, I looked my problem up and found this video. Took about 5 min to fix....very easy!!!! Just when your done, put on the small black top thing back on the burner or the gas wont light. The top black thing keeps gas in the burner so the ignitor lights it. If the person who made this video is still here and your in Carson Nevada look me up.....I owe you a beer!!!!
This was a little helpful for my KitchenAid - my burners dont have that "little hole". BUT< I still removed it, used a gentle brush on it, (even though it was pretty clean), gently poked a toothpick delicately in the tiny hole where the gas comes out from - and VOILE! GAS! thank you Sam
Thank you! I’m lucky that my husband does 95% of the cooking which he likes to do, but he is the messiest cook I know. So I clean the stove, grates etc. and I guess it was the hole that got clogged. I didn’t even have to remove the burner, just stuck a toothpick in and then used a small dry brush to wipe off the top of the igniter and then the burner lit!
We tried everything, cleaning everything to no avail. You showing us the clogged hole triggered our repair. It's a small burner and hard to see. Thanks much for this video
@@sufiakhatun157 I'm no expert Sufia but you seem to have a different problem than the one in the video. Do you have multiple burners? Do they all light but then turn off or just one of them turns off? If it's just one then just make sure all the tiny holes are clean from food or debris. Something is blocking the flow of gas.
wow! my burner has not been working for months. i put it through dishwasher, scrubbed with wire brush etc. but it still didn’t work. after watching your vid i grabbed a needle and within 30 seconds it was working again. thank you so much!
My burner lights, but it's a very dim flame that barely gives heat. I wonder if it just needs this cleaning. I'll be doing this this weekend first! Thanks!
Perfect! My challenge is that the two screws holding in the burner in place are corroded. I was able to turn one screw (Robertson head), but then the head just popped off the screw leaving the thread i place. The other screw has a stripped head, so it will be even harder to deal with Now I am nervous about proceeding. I fear it might become a major project.
Thank you. Ran out of propane but since a delivery my stove hasn't lit. I'm guessing this is the problem so I'll be cleaning the burners today. Hopefully it is and not an issue with the tank.
Despite the knobs are in the OFF position, should the gas main feeding the range be shut off too? Need an answer ASAP so I can fix my burners on my Kenmore Elite.
Hi. Can you please tell me what drill bit or drill do I need to take out the screws. I have the same stove. Do I just buy a bit to attach to my drill I already have or buy a new drill? Please help.
Ur video is indeed very helpful. Thanks a lot. But can u kindly please help me...... My Italian hob is quite OK but in one burner I am getting yellow flame. It's all blackish stains are coming to pots. And I keep my all 4 burners very clean. So can u please please help me?????? 👍
Hi, thanks so much for the video. My problem is what you described in the beginning of the video, where my spark is weak or faint on all burners. Would that be the igniter module that is defective? Thanks again.
Thank you! I live alone- no husband or even a boyfriend to come over and help me with my burner. I followed your advice, and it worked! Makes me miss electric stove tops!!!
Good job girl hope everything went well
Me too! Good on us for working it out. My next step is to take a complete DYI course 💪🏻
Dang that must suck.
I have husband but useless I have to take all the stress
Thanks so much for making this video. My right rear burner wasn't igniting and I followed the video. Cleaned all four and now, they all ignite quickly as well. Thanks for the tip and for saving me a repair bill.
This worked! Fixed my burner and my big middle burner as well! I thought i had to pay a repair man! Thank you for the video!
My man thank you. Took me legitimately less than 2 min to fix my burner. Thank you and RUclips. Gotta love it.
Thank you, you just saved me a couple hundred dollars & a lot of hassle!!! Long live RUclipsrs like you 🙏🏻

There's always a smart person with a less costly fix!

This worked so quick! I didnt have the tools to remove but I poked a needle through the hole and it worked immediately :D thank you!
I scrapped the area with a steak knife. Damn I tried to burn the stuff off but burnt up my over head microwave
This was PERFECT! Totally fixed my burner! Saved me from paying for a repair
Thanks Sam! Had I known this was such an easy fix I would have been using more than the single working burner for the last 4 years😝

OMG, I'm so glad you mentioned putting the round cap back on top of the burner, mine didn't light after cleaning until I did that!
Thank u !! I was about buy another 1000$ stove .. cleaning it now ..
2 burners did not ignite. Now fixed. Thanks so much!
Worked great! Thank you so much. This is what you tube knowledge sharing is all about!
Thanks man

Very helpful. Did it and it worked. Unclogged the port. Got flame

I clean these all the time. You can just take a paperclip and poke that hole without taking it off and clear it out
Thank you so much ❤️ Once I removed the grates I was able to see the hole. No removal necessary!
great tip. Thanks Sam! I'll give it a try. Having exact same problem you describe.

Great video! However, you might want to emphasize that you should never use any kind of chemical cleaner, when working with any gas issues...🤙🤙
