Engagement of Communities to Maximize Impact Against HIV, Tuberculosis and Malaria
EnCOMi is a project implemented in the Acholi sub‐region (Amuru, Gulu, Kitgum, and Lamwo Districts) by AVSI Foundation with funding from @aics_cooperazione_it in close collaboration with the Ministry of Health Uganda, Regional Referral Hospitals, Districts Health Teams, and Front line health workers at the health facility and community level, including the local leaders.
Through the integrated District Health System Strengthening approach, EnCOMi addresses the critical bottlenecks in maximizing the impact against HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria in the districts of operation that have the highest HIV/AIDS prevalence rates in Uganda, through the active involvement of community members.
