The F-111 sits in a really odd role currently in War Thunder where, ironically, its role as a bomber is pretty much non-existent in Air RB, however its role as an interceptor has been proved to be where it's vastly more comfortable. DISCLAIMER: This was filmed on the day of the patch before the pylon information was known - I may revist the aircraft now we know which pylons work and which don't 👍
Last two pylons are the reason you can't sweep not the inner ones
bro, you just cant use bombs on the outer pylons if you want wing sweep, inner pylons are still good
This was filmed on the first day of the patch where I didn't know that was the case! Still, logically it doesn't make sense for the outer most pylons to be causing a wing sweep issue so it's no surprised I was confused 😂
@@WeBeStronkno it still makes sense because only the inner two pylons have the mechanism to rotate with the wings. The outer pylons are fixed so if you swept the wings with them they would just break off
I think it's the 2 outermost pylons so 4 total that cant have ordinance and swingwing. You were troubleshooting backwards. But hey i cant remember 100% i only saw it in ash's video.
Yup, I'm going to put a little disclaimer in the pinned comment as this was filmed on the day of release, so I hadn't seen anything about the pylons yet 😂 I may revisit the aircraft now I know about the Pylons.
Can you turn in the wings after you dropped the bombs?
Why I just post brain cells, you can sweep the wings with the bombs in the inner part of the plane, anying outside the aim b will not let the wing sweep work
You need to redo this video lol, also this thing gets a radar gun lead indicator. It's been nerfed pretty hard, but it is still fun to fly. The most ive got is 4 air kills and two bases.

Yup, found that out after this was filmed. Still confusing though.
@@WeBeStronk it's because those outer pylons do not swivel. The inner ones don't have any collision issues at full sweep

I don't get it... why do they give out these free test drives to players without any kind of instruction or manual? Oh right... the in game UI sucks too and you never know or can expect anything to work the way they depict it. You just have to experiment with it... that matches up.
