Deal Level Crossing

- Two Class 395s in Southeastern livery head into and out of Deal station respectively, both having come from and going to Sandwich. This crossing is controlled by a unique signalbox, nicknamed the glasshouse, and has 5 lights; one hidden behind the Jewson sign. It is a strange arrangement and one of the peculiar instances where passing those lights to turn right would be illegal. The crossing seems a bit old as the alarm is wearing, the barriers are breaking, and the lights have been twisted. Strangely only Class 395s were running on the route on this Sunday, doing a loop around Kent into and out of London St Pancras International. It was a very nice day though to be down at the beach, but yet I was doing this to avoid the chavs.

Ah yes! Jews On is a fantastic shop
You should have told me that you were coming to Deal as I and my brother (EWS Trains) live in Deal,
Plus we went there a few hours after you.
It was sort of a detour as we missed our train at the East Kent Railway. I may be going back sometime this week
Those yodalarms have been changed.
They've always sounded like that but I do see where you're coming from.
imagine if deal or no deal came to this crossing lmfao
can you visit Hampton court, Motspur park, New Malden and Oxshott level crossings please and film them?
Maybe
Nathan A RF okay ☺
Nice video! Is what those people turning left in the first clip did legal?
Bastards
No round the corner is two departmental stores (Hutchins and Jewsons)
freebrickproductions No you HAVE to wait no matter what in the UK
Would anyone here be interested in an E2S Alarm soundtrack? I've made one, but wondering if anyone'd be interested? Nice vid by the way!
Seems like the entrance to Jewsons needs to be moved.
That's highly illegal in most countries to pass and turn in such an area (called a no-passing zone), even with oncoming traffic being blocked off.
That would cost a person about $80 (the same as a basic speeding ticket) in Illinois (if the driveway is on the right side, of course; remember, right side is the side to drive on in the Americas).
I can actually think of a crossing in my area that has a similar type of setup (look up the intersection of IL-84 and Cleveland Road in Colona, IL; it's a T-intersection on the same side of traffic with another T-intersection on the major highway before the crossing). A sign was placed not too long ago that tells drivers "DO NOT BLOCK INTERSECTION", and I have seen people get fined for passing to turn onto said road.
Craig Baker Yes it is illegal: when the barriers are down though you can't go to Jewson if you are not at the front but you can come out of Jewson if you are going right at the barriers.
