    From Eudice G. You are just terrific. I just got today the 15D hammer and I could not understand the instructions. You have been such a big help. THey didn't mention about making the hammering softer or harder by turning the piece. I thank you .

    Does the h15d come with a tip? I just got one and thankfully I had ordered the set of tips because it didn’t have one with it.

    Thanks for making this video. I have a flexshaft from Harbor Freight, that I use with my Foredom hammer hand piece. Do you have any handy tricks for getting the hammer piece on my flexshaft? Do you have to have a lot of hand strength to do it? I’m not a weakling, but I can never get it off. I’m always afraid that I’ll break it, when removing it, also. Thanks, Melissa! You’re the best!

    I purchased the 15 handpiece but the supplied bit does not screw all the way down. Is there something I need to do

    I have all three of the quick change handpieces, but only my H18D has the duplex spring. It's very nice to use and the H10 is beautifully built. Almost as if it was made by Starrett. If I were to suggest one, it would be the H20. One day I'd like to get a duplex spring adapter for it. I find the H20 easier to hold precisely, and to manipulate around the work. YMMV.

    Have you ever broken a tip in your hammer hand piece? Is there a way to remove the threaded bit from inside the hand piece?

      If you're talking about removing a broken part of the anvil that screws into the handpiece, personally, I'd use a left-handed drill bit. Centerpunch the broken section, chuck the bit, make sure that your drill is in reverse, then go at it. Start slow. I don't feel comfortable suggesting a disassembly of the handpiece. Another option, depending on the tools that you have, is a flat nose pliers whose stitching (meaning, the grippy lines machined into the metal) extends all the way to the very tip. As a point of interest, Vampire and Engineer make pliers specifically for this purpose. Perhaps you can have a look to see an example such an animal. If the break in the anvil extends a little above the mounting hole in the handpiece, you can use a small metal (meaning, made for metal and not for wood) chisel and strike it in a circular motion to drive the broken part out. Good luck. Someone else may have a better idea, but this is what would try.

    I have the 15D handpiece & am trying to put it on a flexshaft I got from Harbor Freight. I don't know how to pull off the original handpiece & don't want to start pulling without confirmation its ok to and possibly break something, thus making it useless to use with the Foredom handpiece. Help please.

      Are you talking about the duplex spring inside a handpiece? If so here is a link to instructions for changing those: www.foredom.net/wp-content/uploads/handpc_instructions/DuplexSpring.pdf

      I saw them also but I don't think they are made in the U.S. and I have had problems with things made of metal from CHina.

    • @euvid1
      @euvid1 4 года назад +1

      THey are not the same. You bought one made in CHina and it does not work as well as the FOredom. THe genuine Fordam has Fordham engraved on the shaft. The one from CHina does not. Go to Jool Tool videos and you will see a video where the Foredom is demonstrated. There is hardly any sound. The one made in CHina makes a raket and you can hear the p-arts grinding against each other inside the shaft. You can damage a stone and there will go the savings you made on the CHina copy. It is a rip off of the one made in AMerica.

      You get what you pay for, very often when it comes to precision tools. We are not 'rubbing people', although they might appreciate it if they have aches and pains.
