    I have no idea what happened to the resolution. This used to be watchable. Maybe when Viacom took ownership of this, they degraded it.

      2010s as well..except maybe the Jeremy Lin two weeks. Which makes it all the more funny when people try to claim that CArmelo Anthony carries the Knicks. The only exciting period for the Knicks since he arrived was the 2 weeks that he was injured and the Knicks actually played TEAM basketball.

    Not only is this a crazy great play, but Gus Johnson commentary is the greatest thing ever: "Now it has to be a tip....as they throw it AT THE BAAAAAAAAAASKEEEEEEEEET! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!"
    Epic win.

      More like "James Dolan's Knicks." Isiah was just a result of James Dolan's incompetence.
      But I guess that is to be expected when you have no business or sports knowledge and your daddy buys you Madison Square Garden because you've been a good little boy.

      Oh god...you much be a child. One who was never picked in gym class. Not even last. A jackass screaming over every little thing does not make for a good sportscaster. And Gus Johnson does this same exact call whether it is a game winning tip in on an inbounds pass with 0.1 seconds left, or it is a layup in the third quarter of a 27 point game.

  • @jetjaxon
    @jetjaxon 16 лет назад +5

    Beautiful play. The Trent Tucker incident, on the other hand, was complete bullshit. The clock didn't start until the ball was nearly going through the hoop. That is one LONG tenth of a second. I guess that the Knicks got some "home court advantage" that night.

    • @KnickKnack07
      @KnickKnack07  4 года назад

      Sorry...but ACTUAL sports fans don't think that screaming like a child makes forget announcing. For every play that actually warrants an enthusiastic call, Johnson screams like an idiot over 20 mundane calls. Great for children who never get picked in gym class, not even last. But not for real sports fans.

    He used to be my favorite player back when he was with the Nets... If he can get back to this level (~20 pts 8 assists), we could have shades of 2001 ASG...

    The reason why it counts, and SHOULD count is simple....The refs allow for human reaction time by the clock keeper when the blow the whistle to STOP the clock. So they have to allow for his reaction time when he STARTS the clock too.
    If you go back in this game, Stephon Marbury calls time out and the whistle blows with AT LEAST 0.3 seconds left. It then takes the time keeper a little bit to stop it. Same thing.

    No less than 0.3 must expire on the game clock when a player secures possession of an inbounds pass and then attempts a field goal. If less than :0.3 expires in such a situation, the timer will be instructed to deduct at least :0.3 from the game clock. If less than :00.3 remain on the game clock when this situation occurs, the period is over, and the field goal attempt will be disallowed immediately whether successful or unsuccessful.

  • @KnickKnack07
    @KnickKnack07  16 лет назад

    gwall (and other complaing about hte clock starting late) this is a perfectly legal shot. The reason they made the 0.3 second rule is to allow for human reaction time. Why, you may ask? Because the time keeer has a reaction time for both starting ther clock AND stopping it. If I included the previous couple minutes of this play, you would see than the Knicks called a tiem out with at least 0.4 seconds left but the clock kept running to 0.1 due to reaction time. This play is completely legal.
