Two of these plus two batteries.. I could afford a diamond box at that point. I still want these lol. Thanks for the review
Wait I've watched you for years and just now realized I must live right by you lol. That's awesome. 🎉
I just watched your bike/cops video trying to see where you are. The water and are does not look familiar, but I know we cannot be too far apart.
@@WorkshopAddict Got my truck at the same place that's what gave it away. I'm off Perry rd in Grand Blanc. It's wild to think someone as big as you is so close. Your a celebrity.
@JoshTheElectric 😅 Hardly! I am one hour north of that place. We trail ride in St Helen if you are ever up that way with your bikes.
Can't wait to see your testing of the Dewalt powerpacks
It has 10 speakers i love it Nice vid
it has 2 per spaeker
Nice review, interesting problem. The perfect tool battery speaker still eludes us. I'm much more interested in the new m12 speaker, a big loud speaker is nice sometimes but if it's too large or cumbersome to carry around I'm not gonna bother taking it out of the truck most days. The new m12 actually looks like a modern bluetooth speaker but with the benefits of using your tool batteries. But it seems like milwaukee will aways mess something up in some way so I'm holding my breath.
I'm a bass guy as well and they probably reduced bass output and high volume levels to conserve battery.
Makes sense, but why distort the highs?
Did you try Forge batteries? It could just be me, but i think there is a difference in sound quality with forge. Specifically i think they sound better at higher volumes with better bass.
I REALLY hope we get a dedicated audiolink subwoofer down the line. And im curious to see if i can use the M12s as dedicated tweeters. To me, the m18s are perfect mid sprakers but lacking in bass and treble.
I wonder how long it will take for this one to start rattling?
Is the speaker of one Mono or Stereo and if linked to two will it be in Stereo mode or just Mono??
2 speakers more power vs 1 less power. They are basically the same. If pack out could link it would be the same. Me myself I prefer pack out cause I can plug it in since I’m in the shop.
This jawn is $179 now at Home Depot
I'm all about the bass.
I’ve watched you over the years review several M12 and M18 speakers/radios. Just thinking quickly, which one do you think outputs the most BASS in the 80%-100% volume level? I’m a speaker fan myself.
The big one sound much better. You can turn the bass up on the big one.
Yes the packout has equalizer. Meaning you need to adjust it depending of the music you are listening to and how loud
You can adjust treble and bass on these also. I have 2 of them. I'd say the sound is pretty good but the treble is actually the weak point imo.
Do it play music through usb ?
@@andremoton9751 no
They need to update it so when you link them together they stayed the link that's a big mess
🙏✝️🙏amen🙏✝️🙏
Can you audio link the new M18 with the big pack out M18?
No
Anyone else ban speakers/ear buds from job sites for safety reasons? I've had guys constantly max out volume to the point you had to scream to hear someone in the same room. Nah, that doesn't fly with me. I'd love a great sounding, clear, balanced speaker like these seem to be, without the ability to drown out communications. With all the tech in these how about the ability to limit max volume?
These wont drown out communications at 60 or 70%. I do not see a way to limit the volume on the speakers, but you can limit the volume output on phones under the avoid ear damage settings.
My boss would fire me if I didn’t listen to music lmao. That’s the first thing that comes off my van at beginning of day.
Instead of Milwaukee making a dozen different unimpressive speakers, why can't they partner with an actual audio company as they have done in the past and make a couple of radio / bluetooth speakers that 1. Actually have decent all around audio. 2. Can both run on AND charge M18 AND M12 batteries. Milwaukee keeps coming out with new radio / speakers that have all kinds of features except the two that are most important to me - good, loud sound quality that actually works at a jobsite or outdoor environment and that it charges and can run off the batteries.
Was just thinking they should partner with Klipsch to maybe boost those attributes.
This is exactly what I am saying
And that can link into a 5.1 or 5.2 system for outdoor theaters.
@jordanallen22 Right! Because many of us work/tinker/hangout in our garages and there's typically a stereo of some sort and maybe a TV. A good jobsite radio that can connect to that system and provide rear fill, or connect the garage to the backyard for the warmer seasons when we all just want to do anything g but be in the house..
I'm curious if you can compensate bass levels with an EQ. USB Audio Player Pro app on Android would do those speakers some justice.
You can, but the base still fades away above 65 percent and is non-existent at 100 percent. I assume it is programmed into the speakers. These are awesome speakers at low levels of volume, but not everyone listens to music there.
! You see they want the Battery to Last a While so they cut the Bass when you are at Higher Volumes because Low Frequency Bass Needs a lot of current. Just ask the Car Guys with Big Bass systems and How they Upgrade to Higher Capacity Alternators and Batteries and Multiple Batteries Etc. What they Should Do is Make it Hybrid where you can Plug them into the Wall and then Push the current to the Speakers while Plugged in.
car audio bass and bluetooth speaker bass are two completely different things lol. the bass in bluetooth speakers at high volume is either lost due to destorion or it’s motherboard reduces bass to prevent the speaker from damaging. you were slightly correct but off by a bit
Logitech UE Megaboom and JBL Xtreme speakers both do a better job and do the exact same thing and all you need is a usb charger..
Also the Megaboom has a threaded hole one end you can screw a magnet attachment into and attach it to a magnetic surface, no bass loss either.
Maybe i missed it but what about battery life
5Ah battery - 60 hours at 50% volume
Out of stock. 😢
And the subs are faced towards the table
be careful milwaukee. your getting quiet expensive
