I see that Angelina has the same effect on you that she had on me. This was my introduction to Angelina in the spring of 2020, and I was blown away. I had so many questions: Why am I crying? Who is this person? Where is she from? Why have I never heard of her before? Why am I crying? Who is that picture on her blouse? How can she touch my soul with that voice? Why am I crying? I have been (and will always be to my dying day) a devotee of this Siren.

I think musically, this performance was even better, if that's possible, than Bohemian Rhapsody. No singer ever has or ever will sing the word "road" in 3 different styles with riffs and runs, oh, and with a belt to boot. Love seeing her in this one. Never gets old.

No, she took sixth place at AGT 2020. How could a girl who sang as heavenly as that take sixth place? She didn’t sign a long-term contract with Simon Cowell. Angelina Jordan and her team had a meeting that had happened before this song, and she knew that she wasn’t going to win the contest, so she selected this song out of the three songs, I think, that they have available for usage for her. She’s a genius, and you can see how she applies that here. Rewatch the video again and hear her singing about "I didn’t sign up with you; I’m not a present for your friend’s to open," and it’s funny how the cameraman pointed the camera at Simon when she sang those words. Every one of the five people above her had signed a contract with Simon. You can do the math from here. I stopped watching AGT right after I found out this had happened.
Looking back not winning AGT under their conditions was probably the best thing for Angelina as she ended up signing with Republic Records later that year and retaining control of her music and allowed to finish school before being heavily promoted as demanded by her family.
Same for me on quitting AGT. How she didn't get chosen was apparently tied to the refusal to sign contracts. At 70 years old, I grew up with 50s and 60s music. By the time I hit the early 80s, the oldies were the only music I cared for. After hearing AJ, the barefoot princess became the center of my music experience. I love watching reactions to her songs and seeing amazement appear on their faces. Rabbit hole indeed!

@@lileont59 You have to realize that AGT is not just a singing contest - the contest includes magicians, acrobats, dancers, ventriloquists, instrumentalists, and others.
I've certainly learned a lot about her over the last couple weeks.

I'm a big ANGELINA fan, but there is another band of brother and sister that are very good " LILIAC" check out their cover of crazy train , then maybe holy diver they do slot of rock covers in their early years but now have slot of originals. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Awesome reaction and all kinds of reasons why she didn't win, but most of all, Mamma wasn't ready to let her little girl go, bottom line. She was in an Interview after "Bohemian Rhapsody" performance saying, "She got to fulfill her dream to sing for Simon and now it's time to go home and have as much of a normal childhood as possible". AGT immediately pulled the video down for copyright reasons. That was not true, how many others have sung that song and even since her performance? None of them have been pulled, and Queen gave her the rights to her version and AGT has never re-posted it. She was smart because she was signed to Republic Records in less than a year of the Airing of this show, giving her the last word on the finished product. Go back in time and watch her Norway's Got Talent performances, 4 of them, and Buckle your Seat Belt, God Bless!

She did not win she didnt want Simons contract. Instead later that year she sign with the biggest label in the world at 14 yo after they handed everything to her as an offer including Angelina creative control over her music and to not be promoted until after highschool, which is now and is why her EP is out followed by the LP very soon and tour dates to follow.

There was no chance of her winning. Her manager/uncle only agreed she would appear if she wasn't locked into a contract.
Angelina did not win this competition... BUT, there were numerous record companies clambering for her signature.. she ends up signing w/Republic Records and they've done EVERYTHING to give her control over what she sings, etc. Are you tired of listening to her, ??
