I am viewing this on November 21, 2020 and I love that Angelina has done exactly what Valerie wished for her. She is now signed with Republic Records with her recently released single Million Miles. Everything I have learned about this young girl is inspiring for her exceptional talent, ability, personality and generosity. How one young person can be so gifted is almost beyond imagining!!! All I can do is send her my prayers for her continued success and that she doesn't lose her innocence when dealing with the business side of the world. Peace and love Angelina!!!

When I first found her, I was blown away and binged on her YT covers for over a WEEK, because I couldnt get her talent, authenticity, and soul out of my head. I wish I was HALF as mature at 13 as she is now, OMG. I would be SO far ahead of where I am right now. I LOVE this girl. I get emotional EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. that I hear her. I hope she remains independent and true to herself. God has his hand on this girl, and I thank Him for her. And thank you, Angelina, for sharing your gift with the world. Thank you Angleina's parents for recognizing your daughter's gift and pouring so many resources, time and attention into developing it. So many parents are too self centered. A perfect storm of surrender to God, God's gifts, and willingness to follow the path laid before you. Thank you Father in Heaven.

Angelina did really well in that. I couldn’t get over the riffs and runs she threw out with that song. Now she is on her way for something exciting. She is so much ready to share her music to the world.

Thank you for your great (as usual) reaction to this Angelina Jordan performance. It is obvious that you are a true professional who knows the technical and artistic aspects of vocal music. As a retired music educator and jazz musician, I like it when you say "negative space". After so many years in the business, that term seems relatively new to me, but it reminds me of what Count Basie told an interviewer who asked him why he doesn't play a lot of notes. Basie said, "It took me my whole career to learn where NOT to play." Angelina already gets it! I like to say that Angelina doesn't sing songs. She sings emotions that go directly to our souls to create beauty and joy. This is Angelina's world. We just live in it!

Yes, she's a jazz singer and she's not a show-off. She could be a diva easily but doesn't have to be. She didn't win, because she's not an over-the-top Carnival act. Her talent is way beyond that show, which was recorded when she was 13. She's now 14 years old, and still a child. She will be a young woman soon enough, and her voice will even be more amazing. Yours is my favorite reaction to an Angelina performance. Thank you for your professional insights.

Thanks for a great reaction to the marvelous Angelina. Concerning Simon and this show, he actually loved her and had only positive things to say about her performances and the person that she is; as did all the judges. I'm sure he, and many others, would sign her on the spot if they could. But I think Angelina and her family already know the direction she is going. Concerning winning, or even placing in the top 5, singers (unless they have a gimmick like two voices in one) have no chance on this Champions version of AGT, where the final ranking is determined by The Wizard of Oz (super fans). Now on the regular AGT that is not the case, because the public votes and they determine the final ranking. So singers have won more than their share in that format (about half of the 14 seasons have been won by singers). But it doesn't matter. Angelina got wonderful exposure and she got the golden buzzer. She probably now has 10 times the worldwide exposure from appearing on AGT. She is off to bigger and better things. Her new album (all original songs I believe) should be out very soon. I love this rendition so much, it is just out-of-this-world beautiful. I think this is even better than her Bohemian Rhapsody & I hope she records it on her label as a single, just like she did with BR. She is about to release a new album of originals now that AGT is over. It should be a big seller just like her 2018 album "It's Magic" whose sales have gone through the roof in the last 2 months. I have a reaction request for Angelina's cover of Queen's The Show Must Go On. It's just Angelina sitting in her living room with a mic & a backing track, so hopefully you won't have the problems of a TV show. This is a real display of her belting power, particularly the last note she holds even after the band stops playing. It's AMAZING!!!

Very good review. With Angelina, artistry and beauty everywhere. I for one was immediately struck by her outfit, the style, the colours, the motifs on the pants, stunningly beautiful. And about her singing, well I can only repeat what everybody says., and you put it so well in your comments. Thank you.
She makes the outfits herself and sometimes uses her grandmothers art in the outfit.I think this is a very special person she has already helped raise 25,000,000 for children's charities.

I'm so glad you included those comments about Simon Cowell and the pitfalls awaiting some of the more "successful" artists that "make it" on AGT. And I'm glad it worked out for Angelina as you hoped and that she didn't end up contracted to Simon Cowell. And yes, I've been a fan of Angelina ever since she was seven years old and channeling the immortal Billie Holiday. Ah, Billie Holiday. Old boy that I am, I met her once, she sitting at table with my two friends and me in a little club in Newark in the '50s. And if I ever meet Angelina, I'm sure she'd be glad to hear all about that magical night spent in Sugar Hill, that little jazz club in Newark. Then was then, and now is now, but I like to imagine Billie would have been pleased at her touch upon Angelina and in the knowledge that Angelina has done her proud.

She was a legendary Italian singer! 😊♥️ this song in particular is one of her bests and a masterpiece. It talks about people, pain and moments in life .. until you find that one person in the universe that is different from everybody else. She talks to this man and tells him to never change, that he is such a big love for her she don't wanna lose.

@@AJ_Angel_of_A well, yes thnx for the info. Knew this. and imo it really doesn't matter when it was founded. It was founded to shield her from the extreme contracts and Simons of the music industry. ANGELina's family and team have turned down several offers of signing and contracts. First to let her have a more normal childhood, and now under the AGT Champions to shield her from the insane machinery behind AGT. The main reason why they're accepted to go to this show is ANGELina's wish to sing before Simon. She was 3 yrs old when she first saw an Idol-show and Simon, and told her Mom she wanted to sing before him. She was told she was to young. But I guess, without knowing for sure, that ANGELina have seen some of the things happening behind the scenes. Sometimes meeting the one you admire, can be dishartening. But she got one of her dreams fullfilled, and it is a platform for her to be known to a bigger audience.

It seems as if she performs for us almost individually. She’s never shown the slightest bit of nervousness. Always in command of the stage. I have listened to all of her playlist and interviews, not just once but many, many times. I am so thankful that we have all of those early years of great performances. I believe that IPASOY (the one when she was 9), WADADM (when she was 8)BR (AGT), YBR (AGT) will all become classics and stand alone versions of the greatest performances ever in history by anyone, let alone a teenager.... or less. I think her performance of WADADM was done so perfectly that it will never be done that well by anyone else ever again. The slide up to “that used to be rain” in that performance was done perfectly. It gets me every time. I grew up listening to Dinah Washington singing that song, (I’m 74) and it hits me direct head on every time I here it sung by Angelina. It’s impossible for me to rank her performances in any sort of order. The last one I listen to is always my favorite. When I saw her mother wipe the tears from her eyes when she was doing “Gloomy Sunday”, I had to pick myself up off of the floor and wipe my own tears away. Yes.....she is very, very special.......and a special gift to all of us. I feel she has good family watching out for her, and she, herself has shown the world what a wonderful spirit she is and continues to be. Thanks to you for your smile. You comments only add to that. And thanks to Rusty for his untiring efforts to explain to the “newbies”, why this girl is one in ten billion!!!!

great reaction... Angelina took on 2 monster songs, known by almost everybody, and made them her own. How isn't that merits the 1st place is incredible. I hope she goes to the Voice. They look a lot more professional than this AGT/Simon show
I highly doubt Angelina would participate in another competition. One could say that it was the Jordan's decision to walk away from agt, like Simon had no control,

I was hoping you would do this one soon! As always, I agree with everything you said. The stripped back arrangement is the very best place for Angelina. Not many singers can hold you locked into every word with their voice alone, but she does it every time. I also agree with the slow tempo... she is able to paint so many details with her voice, and the more room she has to do it, the more she can make you feel it. For anyone that would like to see what a difference the tempo makes, check out this rehearsal of "At Last"... She does the first one, and you can see she is not happy with how it is sounding. She turns and gives some instruction to the band, and in the second take it is just slightly slower. At that slower tempo she is able to weave a tapestry with her voice, and it completely changes the sound of the song..... ruclips.net/video/VU_dbECo_5g/видео.html (it's amazing that she was this aware of the music at 8 years old)
Although the overall tempo is much better the second (and 3'd ) time, they still need to be more attentive to her gestures and allow her to lead in the rubato sections.
what makes this incredible is to b aired on TV is the SYBOLIGY of the lyrics of this song in contrast to what this show and the sinister groups who own n run the music industry is about. its a statement, and that statement is, she does not need them!

I'm sure she picked this song, and we know she does her own arranging. But more importantly it had Meaning! Watch the video closely and you'll see the camera quickly, briefly switches to show Simon right after she sings the line "I didn't sign up with you". Yes she changed the lyric from "I didn't sign up for you". She knew she didn't want Simon in her life! She's a smart girl! As you have noticed she knows who she is [even at this young age] Here's the whole line she sang. Hear how it directly relates to what could have happened if she were to win. [and I love how they quickly switched to Simon -check it out] [I picked this up from another comment here's as that guy wrote it]: . So when she sings the lines "You know you can't hold me forever I didn't sign up with you. I'm not a present for your friends to open" I get goose bumps. BTW, the original lyric is 'I didn't sign up for you'. But she definitely sings 'I didn't sign up with you'. That guy that caught that is right on! I love finding even deeper insight. I the context of what we know today, this song is Angelina telling Simon she's not signing with him and letting everybody know it. As Paul said below, she already knew she wasn't going to win, because she wouldn't sign. Sounds like a Win-Win for her.
Thank you for another reaction video to Angelina. Every time I hear her sing some iconic song made famous by another artist, I discover new beauty and emotional depth in the song because of Angelina's amazing artistry and arrangements. Her voice is so rich and beautiful here singing "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road." I honestly think her performances on AGT were just too subtle, sophisticated, and nuanced for the AGT 'superfans' to understand or appreciate. For me, she is in a class all by herself. So grateful for your love and greate reactions to Angelina. As you speak with authority about singing and jazz, i think listening to your comments is always educational and interesting. Learning more about what it is about Angelina that is so touching and unique. So for your next reaction I would love to hear your comments to her doing a classic lyric song, composed by Nico Cartosio for his 2019 album "Melting". He created the music for this song called "A Song For A", as he put greate music to an old scottish poem, written by Robert Burns about 250 years ago. Cartosio wanted a song to end his all classic music album, and he wanted Angelina to sing it for his album. She did it in a stunning way IMO, and someone told that he now has made even one more song for Angelina, not yet released. I am hoping and looking forward for your reaction to "A Song For A".

It was already planned by the Mother and Angelina Jordan Astar not to win the show.. Being from Norway getting exposure in the U.S is enough. If you win you are under a 2 year basic contract under Simon Cowell As a singer he will own even your Hits and will plan all the events and you are committed. Her Mother already been contacted by Big record labels in California also Disney the mother turned them all down... A Member of Queen gives her the rights to her cover of Bohemian Bohemian Rhapsody. It's selling on iTunes, spotify and Amazon. Angelina will be going to High School soon. Don't forget she is 14 years old. She has Quincy Jones on her side. Angelina jordan Astar has her own label. Angelina Jordan Inc. So in her singing career she will answer to no one but her mother.

Did you reflect on the bold choice of song, with that lyrics? In the situation she is at right now? The right choices on the yellow brick road to fame. Her manager said after the show: "Who doesn't want to work with her? Anyone you can think of wants to work with her". And the producer switched to Simon after the line /I didn't sign up with you/. I think she knows what she is doing :)
Well I believe in a couple of things.
She wanted very badly to be in AGT, as she says she wait 10 years to sing for Simon.
Now we know she is already a Star. more than 1 billion views !
What can do Simon with her ?

Daniel Petermann Often when an artist goes quiet, they are working on a new record, and doesnt want to be disturbed by media. When the record is made, they show up in some way, as to remind the public that they are active, and gives a hint that something is on its way. As Angelina just have done. Then follows a period of silence again while they are working on marketing, release time etc. A few weeks before release the marketing starts, and the artist is everywhere, to build up interest for the first single release from the coming record.

@@fredbloggs6080 In fact she was telling the truth. There's even a video of her been interviewed at around 7 yrs old, where she says exactly that she would like to sing for Simon one day. I believe she wanted that when she began to discover RUclips videos of music and Simon talent shows made some early influence on her. So, some years later, after already won one the Got Talent shows, she just show up as this adorable young lady to check her wish list. What next for her? I think we'll see her in a Grammy ceremony very soon! Cheers!

FYI...Simon required for her to sign an exclusive contract with his company, in order for her to win AGT, and she gave her answer with this song. If you look closely, you'll notice she is wearing a t-shirt with a picture of her as a child, when she won Norway GT. when she begins to sing, she gives him a glance and clearly he got the message, hence his stone cold face. Yellow brick road is a metaphor for a road of richness that I'm sure he (Simon) was proposing, and she obviously said no, so "Good bye Yellow Brick Road." Absolute genius.
I just have one thing to say: While music and how u react to it is subjective, purely mathimatically its more than 90% sure that the best singers ever are singing right now, cause 90% of the humans that EVER lived on Earth are alive right NOW! (thats how Statistics and math works ppl!)
The funny thing is; When she is not singing she is a totally normal NORWEGIAN child/teen playing and hanging with her friends. At the moments she got the mic, she become at totally difference person and a grown person. Reeealy spoooky.....

I still find it so...not that there is any requirement in AGT Champions to sign a management contract, unlike the regular AGT winner. She will follow her own path and I hear has a major release coming soon.

I check your Facebook page daily and I am going to check out your Patreon site and contribute whatever I can afford. I agree 100% regarding Simon and AGT. As far as I am concerned Angelina became a worldwide star several years ago and stands far above any on AGT. I also believe her and her family/support network to be far smarter than anyone knows and even better to have a firm moral foundation to guide them through the entertainment world's cesspool. As her friend who wears Angelina's shoes does, so do I. I pray for her life success and wellbeing daily.

I'm glad you are pointing out the Simon franchise. Some say she should have chosen another song. I don't know why she chose the song, but Elton John's 'Goodbye Yellow Brick Road' lyrics are very much aimed at the powers that be in the music industry. And most importantly to recognize the dangers and turn away from them. Lyrics are very clear on that. So really the perfect song to choose.
I think she chose this song because it showcased both her arranging talent AND her vocal prowess. While I think she wanted to win, I also think she wanted to on her terms. It is at least plausible that these performances put her on Republic's radar. All three of her AGTC performances were exceptional.

This is an interesting take on her performance. The style reminds me a bit of a couple songs that Floor did on Beste Zangers.
I know that you also have a spiritual side and would love to see you react to Heilung, Krigsgaldr is a good place to start. They are a Scandinavian/German Experimental Folk Metal band that play instruments from the Iron age. Pre-Viking Norse lyrics that have been translated from runes found in graves. The singer is amazing although this song barely touches on her range.
