- Not even a great lap as it was the first and only on a dry(ish) track. It rained again shortly after. But the fastest of the year anyway. I had forgotten to turn off the TC as I had been leaving it on in the earlier wet sessions. Still some moisture in a couple of corners which cost about 0.5s.
Soul race headers & exhaust. Yokohama A052 255+275 (40-50% used, not new)
On new Cup2 and a dry track I think the car would equal the 991.2 GT3 time of about 1:53.
Stock ECU, stock PASM dampers and 1420 kg. Авто/Мото

Yeah it's great for the track, on the road it gives me a headache :D I'll make it a bit quieter.

I have a question! I bought a cayman gt4 rs, i have 2 track days, it looks like the front tyres are dead on the inside. Do you know what is the problem? I know you have a lot of knowledge about the gt4! Thank you. You are a very good driver!
Cup 2 or Cup 2R? Did you get the car set up / aligned or just using it as it came from the factory? The alignment can be pretty far off, obviously you can't expect tires to last long on track but they should wear fairly evenly on these cars unless the alignment is off by a lot.
@@JCviggen1 cup 2 original tyre porsche specification. I have been many times on track. But i never see such a thing on a front tyre on a rwd car. The alignement is stock. The car is in max downforce front and back.
@@Porschelover456 Step 1 is a track alignment, until you know which way all the wheels are pointing there is not much we can say about the incorrect wear...

CEL comes and goes (I have mini cats on the sensors) it seems to stay off on the road and come on at the track after a few sessions - not right away
Судя по тому что еще есть запас и по скорости и по траекториям, на механике машина бодрее едет по сравнению с PDC.
Did you get a tune for the CEL?
Not yet, it came on later in the day. The cheap mini cats I put on in the beginning seem to keep it off on the street and it comes on occasionally at the track.
Машина не ругается на Soul race headers? Я пока только Akrapovic link pipes поставил.
Yeah I used lambda spacers to get rid of the check engine light at first - but now I have ECU tune to turn off the rear lambda sensors which is better
@@JCviggen1 No issues with warranty after ecu tune? Soul tune as well? Also thinking in getting it and going with headers. Is it worth it?
How much hp gain?
@@jackpetr89 Technically any tune violates warranty. Whether or not the dealer "detects" a tune after you remove it is another matter. Nobody really knows. With headers you would get a check engine light so the tune helps. I also wanted it because I felt the engine needs more than 8000 rpm limit (now 8300). Power gain was small. About 5 HP. Most of the power is there from changing the exhaust, the stock ECU adapts very nice. 465 HP w/stock tune 470 tuned.
The a052 is faster than cup2 n1 ?
Yes, a lot. I only tried 1 set of new N1 but did not like them. Too much understeer, the front axle on the GT4 needs much more grip than that. A052 makes most of the time through slow corners, a bit in medium speed corners. High speed and braking is about equal to cup 2.
@@JCviggen1 very interesting, I have found I struggle a little with the front on my 981gt4 with the cup2n1. Thanks for the reply, you drive the gt4 very well. Can I ask where you prefer to have the anti roll bars set also?
@@MrRGibbs93 I run the sways middle-middle but that's a 718 thing. The 981 variant seems to like the front softer than the rear
