After watching your videos i always feel a sense of calm and positivity and that its all going to be ok no matter what situation you find yourself. Lovely channel thankyou.
William never ceases to put a smile on my face whatever the weather, every time he makes an appearance! What an amazing little fella he is. A credit to Jo & Vic. A great insight into the less glamorous side of canal boat life. Looking forward to the next installment as always ❤👍
A waterpoint flowing water abundantly, swing bridges moving light as a feather, today all seems to go effortless. Very comforting, wonderfully edited scenes, filmed and chosen with care and attention.❤😊
Hi Vic and Jo, love the vlog. Of course we also can't get enough of William. One thing we do miss is Jo's baking and seeing the Café open. Locking forward to next fridays vlog. ❤😊
Love Vic's special cassette emptying face. Boseley services has memories for us; we spent the second half of Lockdown No. 1 around Congleton, which has only water, so a regular trip there in the car with rubbish and poo-suitcases was part of the routine.
Thank you for this lovely video, of normal canal boat life. It is so lovely to be doing things at a slower pace of life. William is so lovely, and saying words so clearly. Jo and Vic you both seem to look younger every time we see you! xxx
Lovely serene video even though you were working hard in the rain and locks to prep for serving up delicious treats for everyone. So glad we have your channel to visit from around the world. Hello from California. 🌅
The last time I came through the electrified road bridge. The bridge opened okay and I took the boat through, then the bridge would not close, and all the electrics died. There was traffic everywhere. It took the CRT over an hour to turn up.
Thanks for the vlog Vic, you work so hard both of you. I hope you managed to sort Jos pooey trainers out, its horrid when people don't pick up after their dogs. Bill is growing so fast, he's gorgeous xx [Roll on next week lol}
Loved this episode! I really felt like i had a day out with you. I loved all the little details you highlighted particularly rope skills how the swing bridge works. How to function on a daily basis bin bags and water management. Lastly not forgetting the cassette toilet. I am a motorhomer and i think there are skills we share here. Lastly i loved the connection with nature you showed. I feel happily immersed in you day in the life of...william is growing up fast. Please keep making these little nuggets of cafe boating life... love to you all. Can't wait for the next one to lighten my mood...😊
Got my cookbook this week; it is a real work of art! Lovely cover, lovely paper, stunning illustrations! It is obviously a labor of love. And now I get to bake those delicious cakes!!! Heaven!
What a grad little fellow William is so very cute you working hard with all the tidying guess Jo worn out with the cooking all tc now loved the cook book I got it for my granddaughter the oldies 🤗🤗🤗
Walked passed your boat today in Bollington. Moored up with a plethora of Cafe type boats - the tow path was like a little artisan street ...very nice🙂
Just a hello from a dry and hot Texas to a rainy UK that "The Book" arrived in pristine condition. A nice surprise after returning from a trip. Looking forward to trying some recipes.
Ooo, you passed my boat 8:43! Would had offered you a coffee and cake if I'd been about😊. Anyway, was lovely seeing you both down at Bollington today. Dave n Jazz
Fabulous as ever darlings 😜, love to you all, and the animals and trees and bushes...superb soundtracks btw, it did and has since always made you stand out as a channel, incredible...have a beautiful weekend folks x
You joined me for breakfast, in Australia , most welcome. Intro was perfect in images and sounds. Respect to Vic for struggling in rain. Agree with Jo that Macclesfield looks like a great place. Stay safe everyone
Vic and Jo...received your cook book and it is a beauty!! Great job, great photos and the sweet, personal stories make it very special. I didn't realize I ordered 2 so one I will convert the measurements for me to use. For the second book, I contacted a friend whose daughter had just moved back to California after having lived in Australia for many years thinking she'd enjoy it and it turns out that she collects cook books so I'm happy that the second cook book will be a beautiful surprise for her to add to her collection. Thank you for the great effort and quality of the book. I'll wait for the temps here in California to cool down a bit and then I will get into the mood to get my oven going and make some sinful pastry!! Hope you all are doing well!! Big hugs to Will!!
Thanks for video .. It's nice to share your every day routine as well as your special trips..William seem like a natural 'boat boy' love that he's talking now ❤
Like the style that Vic is developing in his blog video’s. Like many others, watching them makes me calm…oh, the book came this week and it look absolutely fantastic! Going to make something out of it soon, maybe zhuzh things up a bit….lol did I mention the book look’s great?!
Another good vlog, it’s good to see the rough as well as the smooth. Poor Jo’s shoes, but I loved your poem. William is super cute, it’s so lovely to watch him growing up, he’s such a happy chappie. The weather this summer hasn’t been very kind but it doesn’t look like you let it get you down. Take care you 3. xxx
Here’s a tip. Keep an old brush from a dustpan and brush set. The pans are always breaking so you usually end up with a homeless brush. Then when the inevitable dog poo encounter occurs, use the brush by dipping it in the canal and washing the sole with plenty of water. Comes straight off.
Wasps ,,,, tip 1 Badgers raid wasp nests with their big claws Wasps have learned to attack badgers Don't act like a badger. 2 Wasps sniff out sugar Remove anything sweet to a safe distance 3 Wasps prefer somewhere bright(ok, apart from their nest) If theyre pestering you go somewhere dark; leave a door\window open so they can escape.
@holly the cafe boat vic you do such an incredible amount of work in your marriage in keeping a cafe going whilst joanne is mothering your little beautiful son william; goodness me how long he has gotten - probably going to be tall from fourteen to twenty then shrink with age but my how well he speaks even managing dinosaur 🦕
Wasp days were Wednesday and Thursday. Today (Friday) was fine. I had a drunken conversation with a friend as to why this is. Conclusion, alcohol hurts your head the next day.
So nice to see you heading from my old home town in Macclesfield to my current home Town of Congleton along towpaths I’ve walked plenty of times. Will you be having a weekend in CONGLETON with Holly?
It’s about 8 miles from where they were to the bins, and toilet. At 2mph, that’s an 8 hour trip just to take the trash out, so to speak. I’m surprised there are not more Lock facilities, closer to each other. Also surprised at the planners choice of locations. if there’s only one facility location, it’s more logical to have it in a city, where they were at, then in the middle of nowhere like Bosley Locks.
The best way to deal with an annoying swarm of wasps is to quickly identify the ringleader and punch it as hard as you can. The others will retreat respectfully
After watching your videos i always feel a sense of calm and positivity and that its all going to be ok no matter what situation you find yourself. Lovely channel thankyou.
Absolutely

Thanks, great video. ✌🏻👊🏼
A waterpoint flowing water abundantly, swing bridges moving light as a feather, today all seems to go effortless.
Very comforting, wonderfully edited scenes, filmed and chosen with care and attention.❤😊
Thank you for another calm and serene episode, William is looking quite long now, groing up, nice clips of rural and canal aspects.
Hi Vic and Jo, love the vlog. Of course we also can't get enough of William. One thing we do miss is Jo's baking and seeing the Café open. Locking forward to next fridays vlog. ❤😊
11 out of 10❤
Epic edit
Stylish sound track
Beautiful actors 😂
Calm sense
Thank you!
( and the poo was dropped off)
Received your book this week in the mail. It is absolutely over the top with photography, recipes and stories! Looking forward to the read and baking.
Love Vic's special cassette emptying face. Boseley services has memories for us; we spent the second half of Lockdown No. 1 around Congleton, which has only water, so a regular trip there in the car with rubbish and poo-suitcases was part of the routine.
Another well done, delightful and candid family portrait of narrowboat life. Love these.
@ 5:34 ❤❤

my home town of Macclesfield i might take a walk to grab a coffee , i love your videos and your journey, thank you for providing quality content.
Such a shame I didn't catch you open today but I got to see the boat I've been following. Truly made my day seeing Holly moored up at Clarence Mill
Beautifully shot and edited. Always amazes me much effort is involved in the mundane daily work tasks.
Lovely serene video even though you were working hard in the rain and locks to prep for serving up delicious treats for everyone. So glad we have your channel to visit from around the world. Hello from California. 🌅

It was lovely to see you in Bollington last weekend. Thanks for the coffee and cake. Always look forward to your videos. Best wishes to you all!
Holly the cafe video day - has to be my favorite day of the week! Thank you for sharing!
I love opening swing bridges on roads. I especially appreciate the head shakers - makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside 😂
Just love it, we had narrowboats for 40 years and still smile at impatient traffic at swing bridges
I hope that your cafe gos really well for you two and good luck for both of you...
The last time I came through the electrified road bridge. The bridge opened okay and I took the boat through, then the bridge would not close, and all the electrics died. There was traffic everywhere. It took the CRT over an hour to turn up.

Brilliant video as usual. Well done you three. Stay safe.😊
Just love your videos they are always so peaceful isn’t William growing up fast.❤️❤️❤️
There's the beauty of living on a canal boat. If there are too many wasps around, just move on down the ditch and leave 'em behind!
Lovely wee vlog, thank you.
Always enjoy your vlogs. Love the cookbook. It would easily stand up against any rival on the shelves of a bookstore.
Great Video…Thanks !!
absolutely beautiful family and videio production.
I received my cookbook this week! I’m so excited to get tucked into it here in Canada
Mellow comes to mind. Mellow dude, mellow family, mellow life. All in all........... mellow.
Even emptying the honey pots comes across as Zen🤣

Scoot off at about 3 mph, yeah.. always liked going over either roads or rail on board, slightly surreal...take care out there.
Hi guys. I love my book. First make was Raspberry and almond slice. Delicious. Lovely book, really well done xx
Those swing bridges. The power one has over road users at the push of a button.

We did this route twice in 2021 absolutely love it great video 👍🏻
Willian is doing so good. What happens when school time comes, how does that work when living on the canal? Or do you plan to home school?
Really good question!

Wasps ,,,, tip
1 Badgers raid wasp nests with their big claws
Wasps have learned to attack badgers
Don't act like a badger.
2 Wasps sniff out sugar
Remove anything sweet to a safe distance
3 Wasps prefer somewhere bright(ok, apart from their nest)
If theyre pestering you go somewhere dark; leave a door\window open so they can escape.
Macclesfield had one famous resident,Ian Curtis of joy division.

Loved the poem about Jo's shoes. Have you created a whole new genre? Hai-poo, perhaps?
😁
