We love ABCMouse! My daughter has used it since 3 and is almost 5. She just started the 1st grade level on ABCMOUSE. We are homeschooling Kindergarten now with workbooks, hooked on phonics and ABCMOUSE. I'm constantly impressed with her proficiency in all the kindergarten subjects. I decided that we will move on to 1st grade materials once she finishes her kindergarten workbooks. I see no reason to hold her back because of age.
HOMESCHOOLING - If you want something done right - do it yourself! Sooo glade we home schooled our children. Best decision we ever made. They are all grown now and doing great. Thanks for the vid. We plan on using ABC Mouse with the grand kids.
My girls and I enjoy ABCmouse. They’re 4 and 6 yrs of age. I use ABCmouse to pass time for them when I am working with my boys, who are 9 and 11 yrs old; for their one on one’s. Oh and I pay only 29.95 annual. I called to cancel one yr and they offered the discounted rate.
You got a deal! That’s awesome!! My youngest is actually still using it after putting it down for a while. We’ll hang on to it for as long as she’s enjoying it.
I don't have children yet but I stand by this App. I 1st got it for my God-Daughter before she started school, and she did well in it. Now I have my 3yr old niece and her 6yr old brother using it for the past month and they are doing well & enjoy it...but I do agree, there's a lot going on in the app lol. I do have to watch my niece...she will jump programs when no one's looking 😂
That’s awesome! Unfortunately, my local library doesn’t offer it for free. We can however go to our local library and hop on their computers to use it. I hope you all enjoy it!
It’s so hard to decide to use such a busy app, but I know that my son will love the games and will learn. I just don’t want to feed the screen addiction. 😬
Indefinitely get that. You can set a timer for the amount of screen time you’d like them to have within the parent section of the app. My daughter gets 30 minutes a day. Some days she doesn’t even get on it.
I was wondering if you think abc mouse would be a good app to use in the classroom? I teach preschool and we are looking for apps that our students can use on iPads.
I think it would work ok in a classroom setting. You would definitely need to travel the room to ensure that the students are on the specific portion of the program you’d like. It would be good since it’s based on each child’s individual learning as well.
You can go into the classroom and browse topics like math, reading and writing. You can also go into the things to do tab and search things like blends and grammar. It will pull up certain times but it’s not really designed for specific learning skills.
I’ve never heard of that app so I can’t speak on that. However, most of these companies have a free trial period. Maybe that would help you decide which is better for your child. Thanks for watching!
I don’t have a Kindle however I have seen that you can use it on there. Just download the app from the app store and go from there. Hope you can get it to work for your family. ❤️
Unfortunately, from using the app you need to have either online access via WiFi or cell service via a tablet. We use a tablet almost always that has service.
When my girls started using ABCmouse they were not independent readers. My youngest daughter still is not reading independently. Many of the books are read to the child. It gives instructions for everything. They will be able to navigate it. Be sure to select the appropriate level for your child and they will be able to do it by themselves. ❤️
I just got it for my son And we have been doing the learning path every day but can’t get to the next lesson. I thought since there is five stars on each game that he had to play it five times so we repeated both the first screen in the forest lol and The second in the water five times and still it won’t go to the next lesson. I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong or if he has to play other things to progress. I googled it no answers. I also watched your review before getting the subscription so I didn’t want to have him fully explore because he’s only three the purpose of getting this was to learn some more and it is very busy. But how do we progress to the next lesson on our current level in the learning path?
Some of the activities (dots) in the learning path have more than one activity under it. For example, they may have 3 coloring pages. I believe you’ll have to do each of those to move forward. Be sure to choose a different pictures or activity under that one path spot each time.
As someone that is VERY picky about education for my kids I can absolutely say that ABCMouse is fantastic - at least for my kids. Any time you can have a kid BEGGING to learn - and then absorbing and learning important lessons - it is a really good thing. My five year old son has never been so enthusiastic about learning. He cannot wait to get up in the morning and start with his learning path. Yes, there is a lot going on, but I do not think that is a bad thing. Also, the minor criticism about the bedroom and those things doesn't seem to make sense to me. My son loves to earn tickets to buy things for his online room and he knows he has to complete lessons in order to do that. How can that be bad???? It also opens up a kids mind to make decisions on what to buy - which is also a good thing.
LOL. The entire comment makes very little sense. If there is a lot to do, why would a kid get bored?? There does have to be some oversight and direction. It is not an app made for a parent, or grandparent, to just turn on and then let the app "babysit" the kid. The parent should take charge and direct the children through the learning paths and assist in the other things ABCMouse offers. Seems strange that a kid would get bored with something that has a lot of things going on with it.
@@jamesdavis8731I think the "it's too busy" is for her preference, but in spite of all that the kids are still bored. I, too, found it kind of busy, but I still use it.
I just went to their site and it’s says $45 a year for sign up. No code needed. ABCmouse.com. Try looking again. It’s their special annual offer. 70% off
@@LifeofTillmans I went straight to their website and it said 79.99 I’ll try again thank you for the tip! My daughter has been asking me for it I will make her so happy thank you!
It teaches reading, sights words, letter sounds, and other phonograms along the way. With each they are saying these things for your child as they listen.
Hi, thanks for this review. Question, can you custom lessons or take out content you don't wish for them to learn just yet? For example, can we remove the heritage month? I don't really think that is a necessary lesson for a preschooler to learn.
Unfortunately, I don’t see where that can be done. You would just have to monitor what they are choosing to avoid certain content. Those things are considered extra learning opportunities within the app. Based on the level you set, the content we have come across, even the heritage content, has been very age appropriate. Hope this helps. 😀
That’s awesome that they enjoy it! My daughter still spends a little time there but not as much as before. Probably because we are just super busy doing other things.
Are you familiar with using Leap Frog at all? If so, is there any comparison that you are able to share between that and ABC Mouse? I was thinking about getting it for my son as we have Leap Frog at the moment, but it seems both programs are the same in their own way. The only thing that would be different is Leap Frog I don’t think has the shopping thing, but you can customize your Home Screen. Thank you for your review as well 😁
I have used the Leap Frog. It is similar however I do feel like my older girls grew out of it a lot faster than they did ABCmouse. I also didn’t keep up with adding apps to it on a regular. You could always do a trial for ABCmouse to see how it compares Hope that helps. 😀
@@LifeofTillmans Thanks for the response! I will definitely try it. My wife and dad want me to pull the trigger on it, but I feel as though Leap Frog is sufficient enough. No such thing as too much learning though lol.

Question, I have 3 children that will be learning from AbcMouse if I subscribe, will all 3 be able to log on at the same time?
Yes. Each account can have up to 4 accounts so that’s 1 parent and 3 children
thank you love@@butterflytiffany
Pardon my delayed reply but yes the above is correct. Multiple children can be on one account with their own separate profiles.
Is “Homer By Begin” a better learning app for kids in pre-k than abc mouse?
