Cool stuff Shintaro!! If you knew Portuguese you could watch practically all fights on SporTV with a narration full of emotion. I watched pretty much all fights and felt most fights were decided on SHIDO Nathan than actual throwing, which didn´t happen when I practiced judo as a child, when there was clear koka, yuko, wazaari and ippon and wonder why this system doesn´t come back. At that time people really wanted to show their judo and throw their opponent. Seeing Abe Uta cry desperately reminded me that the judo mindset is GET GOLD OR DON´T GET BACK, but anyone seriously doing judo knows that we eventually lost and Uta should be ready to know that. Looking at some fights I had the impression the referees were giving preference to French athletes such as the team match when Hifumi Abe fought and his opponent didn´t get SHIDO even though he wasn't attacking even HALF of what Hifumi was doing. I felt the same when Teddy fought Saito and Teddy wasn´t attacking that much in the first fight but didn´t get shido either. I didn´t know Mimi Huh was a 在日韓国人, but I knew a Korean guy who got the Japanese nationality and competed for Japan in Tae Kwondo in the Tokyo olympics. This was the second olympics that I watched after deciding to get back to judo 31 years after having stopped after watching the Tokyo olympics. I was a purple belt back in Brazil when I stopped, but finally got my black belt here in Japan.
This judo Olympics were a combination of some very exciting matches and some very downright boring matches that wouldn't exist in old school Judo. In general as an event, wrestling was far superior to Judo, it really was fun to watch and the lack of controversy made it a really smooth but action packed competition with little to no subjectivity on the refereeing and judges side. Judo's relationship with the IOC and the corruption within the IJF is as toxic as it can get, and the Judo community is paying a hard price for it.

You can't blame the French. They sent Hifumi Abe out at the team event because Hashimoto under performed in the earlier rounds. If they had a stronger player in the -73 kg weight class, then they wouldn't need to rely on sending a lighter player in Abe and have him fight against a 15% weight difference.

So, you tapped and then pretended you didn't? Not really the judo spirit.
This olympic judo was horrible it should be called shido game. Players are complainning about the rules. Nick yonezuka and chadi made a vid about the horrible rules . The judo was horrible to look at and the most games ended in shido. Tbh wrestling was more entertaining for me
I only watched 81kg and up; and I feel like most matches were decided by scoring a point. I thought it was super exciting, especially ending with the team judo, that is peak imo (kosen judo should be standard). Crazy how our views differ so much haha
@@Amrani97 81 and up were very exciting and varied displays of Judo. I was hoping 73 could be too, but unfortunately there was gaming there. The lower men's classes were full of Seoi Otoshi and Sutemi waza spam, wasn't so fun.
Shintaro...Teddy didn't become Unstoppable until the IJF banned leg attacks
stop crying about that, move on
@@TB-fm8kf nobody's crying fool, professional coaches talk about logistics all the time... some people aren't in love with the men but in love with the sport😗😚😆
@@HowleebraThe rules are the same for everyone and Teddy became unstoppable when he got more experience and training at pro level.
@@puccaland Teddy's win-loss ratio instantly skyrocketed at the moment they made it illegal for people to touch legs this isn't a coincidence because he's 6 ft 8🤔😃😂
Do you have evidence regarding the so-called corruption? Like, discussions with IJF officials or documents?
I do, but I won't disclose it here my lady. So please move on😉

France robbed the team medal, it was even more heartbreaking to see Hifumi Abe crying out of frustration than it was to see Uta Abe's tears over a fair loss.
Not to mention that fixed digital roulette...👎👎👎
You can't blame the French. They sent Hifumi Abe out at the team event because Hashimoto under performed in the earlier rounds. If they had a stronger player in the -73 kg weight class, then they wouldn't need to rely on sending a lighter player in Abe and have him fight against a 15% weight difference.
