Thankyou for this. It's seems I had a lower spine fracture years ago which I knew nothing about but this summer I got two fractures in the thoracic spine for no reason whatsoever . I have been referred to the osteoporosis clinic but only after my insistence on getting an x-ray on my spine. I knew it wasn't just a muscle pull or an osteoarthritic flare up - that was the GP diagnosis. She resisted and said we don't normally give x rays for back pain! I know my own body. What Is More I've taught physiology and other sciences so I'm pretty clued up and maybe somewhat challenging to deal with when a professional is telling me something which I know is fundamentally wrong. Besides which I'm medicated for osteoporosis (alendronic acid and advocal) for the past five years at least. The pain was horrendous and I could barely move for 3 months. However , even though it must have healed now . I still am in pain and I don't know what to do about it. I've been practicing daily yoga for years but now I'm too scared to do any. I've been to the swimming pool once a week for the last month. Whereas I was a good swimmer, (former sub aqua diver) I just float about and move my limbs gently, too frightened to go into a front crawl. I'm desperate to know what I can do to help myself with this condition in yoga and swimming. They have been my 'exercise life' . Oh and I used to dance a lot. I'm 71 Still waiting for my referral appointment.
When I had 3 fractured vertebrae I would swim and the pain would be almost gone but once I got out of the pool the pain was worse. You’re weightless in the water. Not good for a crumbling spine.
Your not even mention you need help with a shower or bath, so things are really hard on the person that has certain area pains! So talk about that as well! Where do you buy Tens Machine?
Thank you from Australia, this video has been a great help ❤️
Very helpful I’ve had 4 spinal fractures. This last one is taking forever to heal!
I'm😂😂

Tens machines can be bought from most chemists or online. ( Also no need to be so abrupt in your comment !)
That's quite rude. Not a nice way to treat someone trying to help you.
Talk faster
Gosh you really are rather rude. No need for it.
Listen faster. 😂 Americans are slow
