Wow Carl, that was absolutely AWESOME !! Could detect a lot of influences and all my favourites like Doc Watson and 4:23 Mississippi John Hurts. Couldn't help noticing your thumb pick is resting way up, as Rev. Davis'. Your playing ROCKS and thank you for sharing.🇨🇦
Great video !! I had to keep the door closed because after hearing you play; my guitars were fighting to get out of the room so I did not try and play them any longer !!! I would love to own a CEO 7 or 9 ! My big dream is to get Richard Hoover of Santa Cruz Guitars to make me a custom shop guitar. That is after I have one of these gems from Martin !
Carl, on the first song I was listening to the sound of the guitar and thought it sounded like my HD 28 Martin. After a few songs and by the end I was focusing your playing and noticed how different the guitar sounded on different songs using different techniques. Awesome playing and a great guitar.
This collage sounds like me playing on a lazy afternoon...ten years from now. Neat to hear Jimi and Chet influences in the same genre. Thank you sir for announcing which guitar you are using... (Would appreciate the same on all uploads). I will title my next creation "wish I was you"...in your honor. Thank you once again for your inspiration and soul sharing. Dr Bob in Reading PA
MisterPipe, been a huge fan for quite some time...while I understand that the mood takes you where it does, I know this is one of the suckiest questions to ask, yet I ask anyway...favorite guitar, and why?
You make me feel proud to be a Belgian too! 🍻🍻 I already have a Martin 000-15 M, a Martin OM-42, a Martin 2-17, a Martin D12-28 and a Santa Cruz 00 Eric Skye and I am considering purchasing a CEO7, do you think this is a wise decision or am I insane?
@@daddystovepipe My fear is that it might overlap with the 000-15 or the SC 00. Anyway, thank you and congrats with your videos, you make my day whenever you post a new one.
Not the CEO7, I sold it. Honestly, I couldn't say as it changes from time to time and also with what I want to play. When practicing a new song I try it out on different guitars and the final choice is based on what I feel.
Oh well, you can't keep 'm all. I've also decided when I'm looking for something new, something has to go. I might explore an Emerald carbon fibre guitar.

Just got a 2016 CEO-7 I will be playing it every day for years. I saved this video because you’ve got some inspiring things going on here.
the Ceo 7 is my absolute favorite Martin. I could never give it up.
Awesome playing! Just like Steve Howe. Thanks one of the best reviews on the CEO7 ❤️👋🎸👍
DSP, you continue to inspire. Many days I think of quitting guitar but when I hear you play my mind say’s, “damn, just try harder”.

Wow Daddy...Your playing blows my mind ..and..it apparently blew your ..hat.. off too..👍😎🎸
You sound great and so does the guitar, well played. I'm looking to purchase a CEO-7 my only wish is I can play as good as you.

Thanks, it's the man/mind/hands that are doing the work, the guitar is just along for the ride, as they say.
Treasure of a mix!! The string bend was my favorite! Just AWSOME playing! Thanks for sharing with us 👍👏👏🦃
thanks, will do a lesson on that (called "Lonnie's Blues)
Found something similar in your lesson on woke up with the blues in my fingers! Thanks
Inspiring beautiful sound and the guitar is lovely as-well.
Super,Super guitar

Very accomplished plying my friend!! Thanks for this :)
Wow . . . that is all. You've obviously got a CEO-7 with more notes than mine!!
Great! Really enjoyed it. You seem to really like the CEO-7.
You're the best, daddy!
Damn that was sum incredible playing
great playing!i just ordered this guitar too.
You will not dissapointed (although I sold mine to someone who was really begging for it - and I regret it a little bit).
WOW ! NICE ! GEEEZ !...Seriously though, unadulterated straight -up playing and I like it.
Brilliant playing......
Great demo, thanks!
DSP playing a Martin CEO 7, wow!
very nice CEO Martin!
Ah finally, i miss u so much 😎🔥
still the baddest daddy wow!
Brilliant! Why do you bother with the guitar - you could make a cigar box and broom stick sound amazing 😎 Thank you for all your YT posts.
Real swell for sure🎩🎶🕊
Wonderful! Are downtuned? Seems like this bends with ease!
Thanks, regular tuning, no down tuning

it does, I know this is one of the suckiest questions to ask, yet I ask anyway...favorite guitar, and why?
Thanks. Depending the mood and the type of song I grab this or that one, so there's not really a favorite.
Great improv on Windy and Warm. I assume your guitar is not available in the US.?
thanks, shipping and customs would make it too expensive; I'm sure you can find one in the US.
@@daddystovepipe
yes, US$2800 new, but to purchase this one from daddy's personal collection would most certainly be worth paying a premium for.

Good try... haha. 😂

Go for it, you can always flip it (like I did - it overlapped too much with my other guitars).

This dude is Uber cool(:
What was that last one you played here? ..beautiful flora of tone!
It's my version of "A Little Love A Little Kiss" based on Eddie Lang's playing. Here's the complete version ruclips.net/video/inChonDR0uk/видео.html
DSP - how do you like playing on the modified v neck is it comfortable?
Yes, it's comfortable, but that's a personal opinion. For some people it might not be...try before you buy.
If you could only have one acoustic what would it be

somehow I just can't see daddy being happy with some fancy overpriced plastic guitar 🤔
@@paulboden7850 Don't forget "plastic" (made from oil) is the oldest material on earth! I used to play Ovation guitars in the 70ies...

you got me there daddy! lol

Tough one, I think my first handmade Greven, the maple FX.
