Caroline, I absolutely love seeing this piece again. You were my inspiration to buy the printed canvas. I can not imagine stitching it from the chart. It is one of my favorite pieces as well. I bought the Peacock from Beth Russell’s site, too. Have a wonderful Christmas with your family.

I used to be a ‘needle pointer’ before I got into cross stitch, but, the shops in Toronto dried up. My first project was purchased when I was 16 or 17 when I lived in Laval, P.Q. I finished it when I turned 50! Years later, living in Toronto/Barrie, I switched to cross-stitch and was hooked immediately! Fell down the rabbit hole with Flosstube and never looked back. Love your canvas work. Merry, happy, everything!

Living in Sydney Australia I am a day ahead of Canada so the pressies have been opened and I have just put the final stitches into this gorgeous project. I am sad that we only have one more day of the holiday count down. This has been so fun and the three of you have outdone yourselves again. Your Orange tree is so beautiful. I have the book by Beth Russell. I bought it and all the Appelton wool to make another design in the book. I am currently working on a cat on a pillow design of hers. It was done in full crosses instead of petit point. Wish I had not followed the instructions and done it in half crosses instead. That is really hard on your hands.
Cannot believe that tomorrow wrsps up the Holiday Countdown. It has been do much fun! Kerri has outdone herself this year with the linen en thread!

I’m currently doing the Beth Russell design. I think it’s called The Woodpecker, I completed the companion piece (the peacock) about 15 years ago & started this one in 2018 & I’m determined to finish it this year 🤞🏼. You are right about the book, every design is stunning.
I did a much smaller version of your orange tree tapestry piece. I framed it in an antique oval frame.

The orange tree is phenomenal! The designer of from Nancy’s Needle, actually was the owner of my local LNS, back in the day! It was a beautiful cross stitch and needlepoint store. I jumped online and bought a few designs. Thank you for re-kindling a wonderful memory.

I have desert star kitted up but haven’t stitched it. I did complete evening star which has some dark reds, blues, and silver.
