- On a snow day at NCSU, I built a sled out of PVC I had laying around for another project. Ended up with a better sled than you could buy for the cost of the materials and had a lot more fun building it!

Fill the PVC with sand before heating & bending. It'll reduce "creases" and get smooth bends. Th e sand keeps the pipe from collapsing and creasing.
ya i would avoid pvc full stop, i drove around some municipality dump yards with steel barricades, tree stumps, wooden pallets, rail pieces, stones, bricks, that kind of thing, on one place i found some polyethilene or HDPE tube 3 inch thick, ready to go bad in intense UV's of the summer so i can chop some of that premium sled material and attempt something a bit like your one.. the best prop from your video was the guy sledging on a corrugated plastic double wall thingy... that is an awesome sledge good idea. 3D printing has taught me a good bit about plastics, and indeed PVC is not only brittle but full of bad chemicals if it's molten.
Nicely done bro! You’ve inspired me to build one tomorrow!
Imagine if they made fittings that would specially fit that pvc......................................
I laughed so hard when I saw the PVC boat! Made my day!
It didn't sink! we made it about 1/4 mile across that lake, and back. The only water in the boat was drip from the god-awful paddles that were ALSO made from PVC. someday I should make a video about that project - I assume it was thrown away years ago but I have that footage from the launch.
I used this i loved it thanks fam
+XDyn SauSe Thanks for the comment! It makes my day to know that my video helped someone out and it worked!
