    Excellent demo, but can't believe the reliability of these tests to be fair as you are doing everything to mobilize the joints.

      Not for rehab specifically. But gradual strengthening like in our subacromial rehab videos might do the trick for you.

    I would like to ask, In the United Kingdom, a graduated physiotherapist can do this technique? Do we need a special course for this?

    • @Physiotutors

      Not sure, in the Netherlands this is part of a Master's in Manual Therapy.

    Do the mc kenzie course, save your joints and stop bugging urself with non evident homonymus/heteronymus passive coupling behaviour of thoracic or lumbar vertebra and segmental mobilisation. Sincerely, a manual therapist ;-) but very good video never the less !

      as if McKenzie is the only truth ..... and why/what do you mean bij save joints?

    • @meller13
      @meller13 5 лет назад +2

      @@markh5679 absolutely not. But as both master MT and cred. MDT I can tell from my experience and point of view. Additionally lots of colleagues with same background tell the same. Second point : hand issues, especially in older MTs are a known common phenomenon. Stimulating self efficacy with MDT is another strong part which I don't see this strong in MT. Have a nice day

      You have to find a really good chiropractor or physiotherapist, not any. Or go under the surgeon's scalpel like I did. I am 52. If you are younger you have more chances to fix it without surgery.

    These are similar movements to Kaltenborn and Evjenth's.
    What Kai(physiotutors) fail to grasp, is these mvts are not possible by the majority of therapists on the majority of patients.
    Why?
    Because the majority of therapists are females under 170cm tall and without the strength to lift the pelvis of most.
    Because the majority of patients are overweight.
    It is unfortunate that the physiotherapy profession does not better comprehend the diseases of the market it attempts to heal.

    • @Physiotutors
      @Physiotutors  4 года назад +3

      We had several women under 170 who graduated with us who were able to perform these techniques. Doesn't have to do anything with "diseases in the market"

      @@Physiotutors
      Yes, yes. physio courses are typically conducted (and assessed ) in a room full of physios under 35yo, who "like sport", and are not representative of the general population's BMI.
      "Diseases in the market" is a reference to the obesity and overweight epidemic across Western civilization. i.e.
      www.cdc.gov/obesity/data/adult.html
      New Zealand, Australia, Canada, UK, and EU have a similar trend to USA.
      The market for physiotherapy has changed since Cyriax, Stoddard, Kaltenborn, etc developed manual therapy.
      Physiotherapy clinicians across the world are primarily females, without the size or strength to apply effective manual therapy techniques to the majority of the population across the span of a 30 year career.
      But good luck with your course business.
