- A Celebration of Life Service for Master Mack will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at 1:00PM; The Covenant Church; 1700 Corey Blvd Atlanta, GA 30032.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 from 4-8pm at Willie A. Watkins Historic West End Chapel, 1003 Ralph David Abernathy Blvd Atlanta, Ga 30310.
Interment: Southview Cemetery

My mom buried my brother in '88 at the age of 15 years old she said, :that there is no hurt then what is felt when you look down at your child in a casket." I'm sorry for your loss and I am praying that, as the dust settles, everyone goes home. You will receive comfort from The Father that no human can give you. Don't know how you, but much love to you and your family through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. A friend like no other.❤❤❤💛

It's not disrespectful. It's business and it involves having a set time for the Pastor, people making their statements or sharing their love. The procession to the burial place. The night before the funeral their is a visitation that lasts up to someplaces 3 hours. But once the deceased is ready the family can visit with the person slot of times before the actual visitations and funeral. The funeral directors have their policies and regulations to abide by. All of them are sympathetic to the surviving family. Please believe me. Also some may have the deceased brought to their home for a week then they have the final services. It's just whatever the family can afford, the laws and consideration. God bless you all.

Having friends that own funeral homes it’s not something they enjoy doing however it is a time limit on everything you have people waiting on them at the cemetery etc. also sometimes there is another service at that exact same church or that funeral home may also have more than one service as well. Keep in mind if time is not respected that cost the family additional money that some may not have

I totally agree and seen it done time and time again the man was straight rude and a lot of times the some of the people that talks want to be seen and none of that is of God's Order they want to show out and want to run stuff and they should not put stuff soooooo close together and if they have other stuff to do they need to be clear up front Period God is a God of decent and and of order Period. You have to realize this is business and everything is on schedule (time). The night before there probably was a wake that allowed the extra time. The funeral home has other business to handle, possibly other services to attend, etc. it’s not rude. It’s trying to respect the process and stay the course. It’s walking a fine line. And a lot of if not most of the time, they are the officiates, so it’s literally their jobs to keep the flow of the process.
Miss you don't get it. It's nothing disrespectful about it. There ate time restraints. That's why they have a viewing the day before for the family so they can spend as much time with their loved one as they want. The day of the service is not the time. You have to keep it moving and the families are told by the funeral home so they already know that they have to pay hundred of dollars for going over the allotted time. You didn't see anybody get upset bc they already know. They've been told. They have to be at the cemetery at a certain time bc there are other families that need to bury their loved ones too. No need for you to be so upset. You're more upset than the family. If you want to pay the extra money than you can have more time but that's what the viewing the day before is for. I've buried so many loved ones so I know. The nursing you can spend more time but the service you have to keep it moving. You gotta show respect to the funeral home too.

Everything is time and money with them. They allow a set amount of service time cuz they're often over booked. It's not uncommon to see them start removing flowers and standing ready to roll the body out while people are actively grieving..😢
