Love the blue/white colours on the coaches of the train nearly the same as British rail coaches of the 70/80 s

Wonder if those 1930's Design Budd-Michelin type shared trucks will hold up. That was an achilles heel when whole train set had to be taken out of service due to one car.

      you mean jacob bogies?
and i never understood that argument. If a wagon has a malfunction; whatever the train setup is, theyll have to take the entire train out of service, bring it back to the yard, uncouple the wagons around it, etc etc... not much difference with jacob bogie setup like this. Its just easier to bring one out of service, and bring a replacement train in.

TGV design was in the 70s … it’s been quite successful… actually Jacobs truck design has been proven quite safe in a few misshapes …. Also you get reduced train weight, less friction, and heavy duty suspension system… also remember that the TGV system captured the speed record 3 times and still holds the record for steel wheeled trains.

Curious what will happen to the old set. There is not really a place they can go.

Their issues have been well documented and now mostly sorted. If you're unaware, that's on you at this point

What he meant to say is they haven't. But they should be ready sometime this year... I hope.
